Four Egg Yellow Cake

Very good. Instead of shortening, I used one half butter, one half vegetable oil and unbleached sugar and it turned out very nice! Great color.

Very good! I too used 1/2 tea baking powder, salt & pepper, and paprika to add some flavor. Good base recipe in which to create a variety of different flavors.

I didn't use rutabegas and pork but added white wine, dill, marjoram and sage to the meat mixture. I also made a mushroom gravy to pour over them and everyone loved it!

Swabian Meatballs (Fleischkuechle)

Very good mellow seasoning and the pork makes it very tasty. Be sure to drain about 70% of the fat or you'll feel queasy after! Flavors improve after a day.

This was my first time and it came out very well! I substituted sour cream for the cream cheese and added some cheddar cheese and dill to the filling and they came out very tasty. thanks for the recipe!
