Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
Excellent recipe. I used country style ribs that I seasoned up and seared on the stovetop. Cooked them 6 hours on high, drained the root beer, shredded the meat, added in the BBQ sauce and cooked for 1 1/2 hours longer. Thank you.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
This was so awesome. My husband and I both loved it! I will be making this again. I used jasmine rice (rinsed it 3 times in cold water), omitted the onions, added onion powder and chili powder. Thank you for sharing!

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
These were wonderful!! My modifications included, 1) reduced amount of cream of tarter to only 1/8tsp(a pinch) 2) used food processor to cut in the butter 3) used 2% milk instead of heavy cream 4) added in 1-2 tsp vanilla extract 5) sprinkled tops with sugar before baking.

Green Beans for a Special Occasion

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2007
Great concept. I changed it to fit my tastes though. I added a lot more garlic, and used flavored sliced almonds instead of pine nuts. The beans also have to cook a lot longer than 5 minutes. I would say more like 10-15 minutes. When serving I add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. With my modifications in place this is my new favorite recipe for fresh green beans.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
These were awesome. I followed the recommendations of previos people and reduced the amount of chocolate chips to 1.5 cups instead of 2. I chilled the dough overnight. And when I baked the cookies I turned them into chocolate chip cookies a la mode and they were amazing! I find that when they come out of the oven the edges get pretty crispy. But storing them in an air tight container with a piece of bread fixes that and makes these the best chocolate chip cookies ever!

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
This was an excellent blend of seasonings for tacos. My husband thought it was better than the seasoning packets. I will never buy another packet again. I will however experiment with this recipe to make fit our taste buds. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe.

Hot Pepper Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
I made this for a Thanksgiving potluck. It was my first time making a cheeseball and I thought that it was very good. I got a lot of compliments on it. I used miracle whip instead of mayo and I think I will only use 1 tbls next time instead of 2. I also rolled it in crunched up almonds instead of pecans. I think the pepperjack cheese gave it the perfect amount of kick. I will be making this again. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
My husband and I thought that this was very good. I used the chicken broth instead of the wine. And between the simmering sauce and the final sauce I used the entire can of broth. I did make a few modifactions... * pound chicken breasts thin so they cook faster * once I took the chicken out of the pan I smashed/pressed the garlic to spread it through the sauce. I did think this dish was a little salty but it was probably from all the chicken broth. I will be making this again.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
I have never made or ate enchiladas before but this was an amazing recipe! I think boiling the chicken took longer than preparing the entire dish. ;) Thank you for a great recipe! I will be making it again.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
Excellent recipe. Just enough garlic and the "crust" was awesome! I did have to use 2 9x13 casserole pans though. There was no way that it would all fit into one.
