Pumpkin Waffles with Apple Cider Syrup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I just made the syrup- I'm sure the waffles are amazing, but I made pumpkin pancakes and heard of apple cider syrup so I wanted to give it a go. I forgot to add the butter at the end, but didn't miss it! Amazing, easy, for the people that didn't make the syrup- just try it. Its worth it!

Gelato

I added 1/2 the Nutella to it and its amazing. I'm going to try fruit next. I always make sure to cook it awhile longer after you temper the eggs with the milk in order to keep from having a raw egg taste.

Hot Pink Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
I have made this so many times, I have lost count. My daughter (2 and very picky) loves it. I cut the sugar in half because the blueberries are sweet enough on their own, also I put a few cups of the lemonade in the blender with frozen blueberries, puree it and strain it, gets rid of all the seeds and skin fragments. But it is seriously, sooooo good.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2008
This is the recipe I grew up with- my mom always made it without a recipe though, so I had a hard time figuring out the right amounts of things... and finding a recipe that included eggs.

I put green food gel in the mix for halloween and served them as swamp sludge treats. They were delicious and I'm about to make them for Christmas treats right now!!

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
These are the best chocolate covered cherries I've ever had- I will never buy another box again and can't wait to give them out at the holidays!!! My mom has been disappointed lately with the store bought variety because they don't have the juicy part, its the white pasty stuff- I know its all a matter of preference, but we prefer the juice by far- she asked me for the recipe and I know she'll love it as much as I do!!!

Bread Bowls II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
We did this at perkins, only we had rounds of frozen dough that we let proof and we didn't roll them out- we just manipulated the dough over the bowl- save yourself some time- do it that way!

Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
I used lemon pudding- my mom always did and we think its just too bland if you use vanilla. If you want lemon cake, you should make lemon cake!

Pumpkin Muffins II

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
This was fantastic- I used the canned pumpkin- got way more than 12. They were a little heavy on the spice- which usually I don't have a problem with spices but it toned down nicely with cream cheese frosting! I used to work at Perkins and our seasonal muffin was pumpkin with cream cheese frosting- this definitely compares!
