Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
I used olive oil in-place of vegetable oil as suggested by one of the other reviewers on here. DO NOT DO IT! If you love yourself/your family do not do it. It was beyond horrible. I have no doubt this recipe would have been great had I not used olive oil. I gave it 4 stars because I feel it does need lemon juice which isn't included in the original recipe.

Shrimp Po' Boys

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Yum Yum! Like another reviewer I used already frozen breaded shrimp and like that same reviewer I couldn't find the kikkoman lime stuff so I used 1tbs of fresh lime juice and 1tbs soy sauce. Maybe a little too much soy but the sauce was still the jam!

Chocolate Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This is an amazing recipe! I followed the other reviewers in regards to less flour more cocoa powder. I also didn't have any chocolate chips but since its after Halloween I did have a surplus of Hershey bars. After everything was mixed I discovered my house had been robbed and they only took my muffin papers and muffin tin so I just made them into brownies. It took about double the time to cook but holy shiz so moist and delicious! Will def. make again!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I probably make this more than any other recipe on this site. The only thing I would suggest is to make the sauce the day before so the flavors have time to mesh, if you don't have time to do that, don't worry about it, its still extremely flavorful. Also, I use tilapia fillets because they are cheaper and it works out just as well. Love it!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
I used 1 can cream of mushroom and 1 golden mushroom soup. Instead of adding 1 1/4 cups of water I used 1 cup water and 1/4 cup white cooking wine. Mix all with the dry onion soup mix and poured half into my slow cooker. I put in the roast added red potatoes, halved carrots and 1 quartered onion. Cooked on low for 8 hours. It was AMAZING! I had a lot of left over gravy but I'm definitely not complaining, it was so good! Would def. make again.

Perfect Baked Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I have never had jerk chicken before but always wanted to try it. I became extremely cautious when I saw the recipe called for a lot of the same ingredients I use to make my pumpkin pie. I ended up chickening out and only using half of the cinnamon/brown sugar that the recipe called for. This came out sooo good! I was so scared to take a bite but once I did I ate so much. I also added more cayenne (I love hot stuff.) The chicken was so moist and full of flavor. I served it with black beans and white rice. Will def. make again.

Triple Berry Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I was going to take a picture to submit on the site but my boyfriend woke up in the middle of the night and ate all of it! It was that good! I read all of the other reviews and saw the problem with the butter so I just slowly added the butter until it was at the consistency that I wanted, I didn't end up using the full amount and it came out perfect. I'm going to make this again and again and again!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
These cookies were pretty good just what I was in the mood for! The only thing I would change is not use so 1/2 cup sugar to roll the balls in, I ended up throwing about 1/3 of it away after I was done rolling all the balls. I think they are delicious.

Crawfish Chowder

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
This was amazing. My boyfriend who is somewhat of a chowder connoisseur absolutely loved this. We live on the Oregon coast so he’s tried many different kinds of chowder at all of the finest restaurants but he says hands down this was the best he has ever had! Our market didn’t have crawfish so I had to use scallops which meant I didn’t try it, but it smelt wonderful. I will defiantly make this again, and again, and again.
