Real Sopapillas

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
These sopapillas were so easy and so tasty! We made them as the dessert for a Mexican-themed meal and our entire extended family loved them. We dusted ours with cinnamon-sugar and let people drizzle honey over theirs as desired. Highly recommend this recipe!

Soft Baked Custard

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
I really see-sawed between giving this custard four stars or five. It's five stars for ease of assembly and simple ingredients, but I think only four stars for taste (needs more sugar) and accuracy of directions (had to bake for nearly an hour). Still yummy and easy! I'll make it again for sure.

Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
Awesome cookies easily adaptable for allergy-sufferers! I used a dairy-free margarine and a soy yogurt and made the best chocolate chip cookies we've enjoyed since finding out our kids are allergic to dairy and eggs. Every now and then I have to add a little extra flour, but other than that, this recipe is perfect every single time!

Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
Oh my! I found this great recipe when I did a search for whole wheat, egg-free biscuits for dinner tonight. I wouldn't have expected them to taste so yummy, but they were really, really good! I followed the recipe exactly, except for the addition of 3 tablespoons of sugar as suggested by another reviewer.

Angela's Easy Breaded Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
Listen, if you need a super-easy, super-fast supper, this is it! I couldn't believe how moist the chicken was with so few ingredients. My family loved it. I substituted equivalent amounts of crushed croutons because we didn't have bread crumbs and bumped the temperature to 450 degrees for the last 12 minutes both to crisp the topping and so I could throw in the easy Yogurt Biscuits by Rosemarie Kondrk from this site to go with our dinner. Delicious!

Auto Parts Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
I'm adding this one to my recipe rotation for sure! Very easy. I used garlic powder instead of fresh, white wine instead of water, and regular chicken broth. I don't tend to have leeks on hand, so I sliced in a whole onion.

Paprika Pork Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I wasn't a huge fan, but my family did eat the pork. I doubt I'll make it again.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
Really easy, really good. I've made this recipe twice now, once in my bread machine and once in the oven, substituting whole wheat flour for the white both times. I added 4 teaspoons of vital wheat gluten as well.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
This French toast was good, but I didn't think the addition of flour made much difference from other recipes I've tried. I did find that putting the batter in a pie plate made dipping much easier.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
Wow. I followed the directions exactly and really just did not like this recipe at all. The pudding wasn't sweet enough and had a very chalky chocolate taste. I will say that it was very easy and fast, so I may try it again with modifications, but as is, this isn't a keeper.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I added the ingredients exactly except for halving the amount of crumb topping. For really nicely mounded muffins, bake at 425 degrees for the first 6-8 minutes and then reduce to 350 degrees for the remaining time.

Sugar-Dusted Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
For the best muffins, make sure your batter is thick, fill your tins nearly full, and bake at 425 degrees for the first 6-8 minutes. Set the oven back to the recipe's original temperature for the remaining time. You will be amazed by how beautifully domed your muffins are!

Tina's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Five stars for taste and convenience, but only 3 stars of consistency, so I'm giving this one a four-star rating. I didn't like how runny the dip was.

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
I made these for my husband for Valentine's Day. He said they were the best present I've ever given him, which was totally worth the HOURS I spent making them. My tips: Seal five whole graham crackers in a Ziploc bag and crush with rolling pin to get almost exactly 2/3 cup of crumbs. Follow the directions carefully and your cups will be perfect! The candy tasted best after being refrigerated overnight.

Toll House® Blonde Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
We made these for the Super Bowl. Days later people were still asking for more, but they were all eaten in about 24 hours! Lining bottom of the 15x10 tray with parchment paper made these bars easy to remove and cut.
