Barb's Chocolate Cake

This is the most delicious chocolate cake I've ever made. But I have to admit, my family prefers it without the chocolate chips sprinkled on top.

Moist Yellow Cake

Mom's Buttercream Frosting

This frosting is wonderful. Very fluffy and easy to make. I only made one change. I used 10X sugar instead of granulated and doubled the amount.

Dorsey's Fish & Oyster House Crab Cakes

Absolutely delicious! Mixture was not "soppy" like other recipes I've made and held together nicely during cooking. Since I don't eat fried food, but love crab cakes, I sprayed mine with a little Pam and broiled them. I fried my husband's and he loved them. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Buttermilk Biscuits I

These biscuits are delicious! I've tried many recipes to find the perfect texture and these are the ones! I used heavy cream instead of buttermilk. I also let them sit on the sheet pan for about a half hour before baking and that caused them to puff a little and rise very nicely when baked. Definitely a keeper.

Anise Almond Biscotti

This was my first attempt at making biscotti. These are delicious and very easy to make. I dipped the tops in chocolate for an added treat. Will definitely make these again and again. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Anise Biscotti

This biscotti is delicious! I've made it several times even substituting almond extract for the anise extract with terrific results. The tops can be dipped in melted chocolate for a special treat. I made several batches at Christmas time and wrapped them up as gifts for co-workers.

Creamy Homemade Chicken Stew

My family loved this stew. Very tasty! It was a spur of the moment dinner idea so I did it on the stovetop instead of slow cooker. This caused the liquid to separate. I fixed that at the end by adding a little cornstarch. So, if you make this recipe on top of the stove, omit the flour until the end.

Slow Cooker Venison Roast

My husband is always skeptical about me trying new recipes. But when he tried this, he said "this is definitely a keeper." That says a lot coming from him. I did add a step before the crockpot though. Since deermeat is sometimes dry, I decided to sear it in bacon fat before cooking. I don't know if that's what made the difference but the meat was very moist and juicy.

Focaccia Bread

One word to describe this.."Delicious". What more can I say! Made it last night to serve with spaghetti and I wound up skipping the spaghetti and just eating the focaccia and salad. Thanks for sharing this versatile recipe.

Stabilized Whipped Cream Icing
