Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
Stop whatever you're doing and make these cookies immediately. They are that good. I used butter instead of margarine, other than that, made the recipe exactly as written. Amazing soft sugar cookie, stayed soft for at least 4 days.

Soft Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
I didn't care for this sugar cookie recipe. The ratio of butter/sugar/flour is all wrong. The middles are lumpy and the outter edges were all craggy, resulting in a very ugly cookie. I followed the recipe exactly as written. Second batch I refrigerated the dough before baking; same problem. Will *not* make again. Try 'Michelle's Soft Sugar Cookies' (on this site) for a better (and prettier) cookie.

Sauteed Apples

I've made these at least 10 times and they are amazing. I follow the recipe exactly, and put them on top of waffles, pancakes, or pack them with my lunch. My family loves this recipe.

Oatmeal Shortbread

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
These are amazing and so simple! I love that there's just a few ingredients, and ones that I always have on hand. Sometimes I cut them, put them on a cookie sheet, and drizzle chocolate over them. Another time I dipped the cut squares into chocolate. I've doubled the recipe before too, and it doubles perfectly. I'd give this recipe 10 stars if I could!

Easy No Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
I love this recipe. I used Devils Food pudding (as recommended by other reviewers) and followed the rest of the instructions exactly as written. They were amazing! They set up just fine (I had a full boil for 2 minutes) and everyone loved them. Thanks!

Pseudo Sourdough for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
Like people said, not super sourdoughy, but I disagree that it's just like regular white bread. It has a tang to it and has much more flavor than a regular loaf of white bread. It also rises well, has a great crust, and is nice and soft inside. Makes a great sandwich and also makes **amazing** french toast. I highly recommend this bread.

Candied Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
Super easy to make and a great side dish. Only 4 stars because it was a little too sweet for me. Whenever I make it now I cut back on the butter and sugar by 1/2. Great and quick recipe!

Strawberry Muffins

I make these muffins at least once a week in the summer with fresh strawberries. (I've never made it with frozen) I follow the recipe exactly as written and have amazing light and fluffy muffins every time.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This is a great 100% whole wheat loaf. It's very dense and delicious. The only change I made was to use butter instead of shortening. Other than that, it's perfect.

Oatmeal Bread II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This bread is amazing. It's crisp on the outside and soft and smushy on the inside. The only change I made is that I'm heavy handed on the honey and I use 2c bread flour and 1c whole wheat flour. This bread is the best sandwich bread ever.

Scented Applesauce-Cinnamon Ornaments

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This is the best recipe ever. It made a ton of ornaments too; more than the instructions say. I love how the ingredients are so simple and all natural. (I didn't make any substitutions) I let them dry on a wire rack and they took about 4 days to dry completely. (about 1/4 inch think)

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
These cookies are good and super easy to make. One mistake I made with my first batch: I almost forgot the vanilla put it in after the oatmeal, and it was waaaay too strong and they didn't taste as good. Another thing (and mostly why I gave them 4 stars rather than 5) is that they didn't hold up really well after a few days -- they dried out and got crumbly. (I made a ton ahead as Christmas presents but tossed the last bunch because they didn't keep well.)

White Chocolate Snack Mix

Amazing! I used everything except for the peanuts and people can't get enough. I used 'butter snap' pretzels and it made it even more rich and delicious.

Popularity Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
These aren't so much cookies as they are a crunchy toffee candy. They are quite tasty, though. One word of caution: she's not kidding when she says to watch the cookies closely when they're in the oven -- I had 3 batches start to burn on me, and then you have to throw the whole batch out. Oh! And a "soda" cracker is a saltine. I had to google to figure that one out. :)

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2007
This is the best pizza dough I've ever had! I made two changes: I left out the lemon juice because I didn't have any, and I added a little Italian seasoning to make it interesting. The pizza crust was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and was super firm. Even with a ton of toppings, it wasn't soggy or filmsy. We raved about it for days. :)
