About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Fish (particularly salmon), shrimp, pasta, casseroles, meals in a slow cooker, chili
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sometimes we have cabbage and meatballs on Thanksgiving rather than traditional turkey. I love this dish!
My cooking triumphs
I've had a lot of triumphs over the past year! I've resisted cooking until lately (I'm 35). Now I've tried many different dishes, and I've loved (almost) them all!
My cooking tragedies
Nothing yet.

Cabbage Roll Casserole
Yummy! I used only 1 lb of ground beef, one can of tomato sauce, one can of diced green chiles, one can of tomato soup, and one can of beef broth. I also added more onions and garlic. Added the rice to the meat at the very end of cooking and baked the whole thing for 1 hour, 45 minutes. Perfect!

Slow Cooker Chicken Creole
I made this exactly as directed in recipe except I browned the chicken a bit first. It was excellent! The only thing I would do is add some spice, maybe some red pepper flakes. Great recipe!
