Cantaloupe Fizz

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
We used vodka, because I hate gin (or at least I hear I do). Add Orange juice and a little pinch of cinnamon! I serve it now at work, bartending.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
Awesome! I added an egg to the mix and formed into patties stuffed with tiny bits of onion, cooked ham, and shredded cheese. Stuffed hamburger steaks and some Mac & cheese on the side, my kids had to race their father to fight for seconds, lol.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
My new favorite recipe!! As stated previously, the cream cheese is not a filling, but a topping. I even tried one batch with the cream cheese (mixed with nutella) layered under an extra layer of pumpkin mix, still not a filling. Place a pinch of Struesel smack on top of the muffin. It melts and spreads perfectly on top. Absolutely amazing!

Campfire Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
These are good. I added a few extra seasonings, garlic salt, onion salt.. I cooked them in the oven in foil and had to add about 25 minutes to the cooking time.

Marshmallow Truffles

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Melting a little shortening in with the chocolate makes it much easier to work with. We crumbled up some oreos and rolled the chocolate covered marshmellows in the cookies. The kids loved taking it to school for the class.

German Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
This is a very nice cake, great with ice cream while it's still warm. I didn't want to make a trip to the store, so I used sour cream instead of buttermilk and I only had 1/2 cup of shortening, so I used it and added 1/2 cup of butter. It turned out great. Maybe I cooked it a little too long, 1 1/2 hours was a bit much for my oven, but the recipe will work great when I use it again with a shorter cooking time.
