Frosty Freezer Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
Delicious! I used the graham cracker crust with 2 extra servings. And I'm glad I did because it filled it up to the top.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Yummy base recipe but I like many other reviewers changed it up a bit. Used a 25 oz bag of cheese ravioli, 3 mild sausages, 9 oz box of frozen chopped spinach & all milk. Really enjoyed & I'll be making it again. :)

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
Delicious! I didn't use navy beans just 1 can of cannellini, omitted the salt & used chicken broth instead of water. I also cut the pasta down to a half pound, I think 1 pound would be too much.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I doubled the recipe, let the milk sour for 15 minutes & added 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to the egg/milk/butter mixture. Remember when mixing to mix gently and only mix till all the flour is mixed in. The batter will look lumpy but don't worry. :)

Waffles I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Enjoyed these but they are a little bland. I doubled the recipe and used 3 cups white flour & 1 cup whole wheat. I used 1 tablespoon white sugar & 1.5 packets Truvia. Next time I will add cinnamon and double the vanilla. I used the George Foreman grill with waffle plate and the double recipe made 13 waffles. :)

Mom's 'Sweet 'n' Sours' Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Boiled the pork for 30 mins then dumped everything in the slow cooker. Cooked on low for 8 hours took pork out and shredded with two forks. Put the pork back in with the sauce for a few minutes. Served over white rice. Next time I will cut the sugar down to 3/4 cup. And although I didn't think it was too salty I think I'll cut the salt down to 1/4 teaspoon next time. Make sure you use low sodium soy sauce

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Totally delicious! :-) I also doubled the sauce and added a small cubed tater. I found that this actually made (2) 9 inch pot pies. Next time I'll half the ingredients for my small family of three.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
Overall I thought this was an ok recipe. I cut the 'glaze' in half, used 1.5 lbs of boneless/skinless chix breasts and added 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. I boiled the glaze on the stove for a few minutes and cooked the chix at 350* 40 minutes.

Picante Chicken Rice Burritos

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
Very yummy but next time I will add picante sauce or taco sauce on top of the burritos after putting them in the 9x13 dish. Also wanted to add that I think this would be a great make ahead dish. Assemble the burritos then refrigerate. Take out of fridge 30 mins before cooking and top w/ picante sauce & cheese.

Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I'm not sure what was 'off' in this recipe but I think it may have been the cranberry jello that made it taste 'off' to me. I used 2 boxes raspberry and 1 box cranberry and decreased sugar to 2 cups. I will try this again but next time I will use 3 boxes of mixed fruit.

Cola Pork Chops

I dusted the chops w/ flour, garlic salt & pepper and pan fried them for a few minutes. Overall I was not impressed w/ the flavor. Even w/ the flour dusting I found the flavor to be very bland. :-(

Ham and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Bumped up the serving size to 4 which fit nicely in an 8X8 pan. This fed 2 adults & 1 child with a small amount of leftovers. I doubled the noodles (2 cups). For the chicken I used meat from a whole chicken. Instead of regular salt I used garlic salt & I didn't use paprika. Overall my family & I enjoyed this casserole. I think it could be a great 'clean out the fridge' casserole. By using different meats (ex. pork chops, beef roast, etc.) and different veggies (ex. green peppers, green beans, etc.)
