Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
Made this for Christmas dinner and it was a big hit! I'm no fan of the typical green bean casserole but even those who are die hard fans loved it! I cut back on salt and flour, delish. Never again will I make the old stand by!

AWESOME! This recipe has replaced the one I got from my mom, and hers are pretty darn good! The vinegar brightens the taste up a bit. A keeper!

Baked Oatmeal Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
GREAT! I followed the directions but used mini M&M's and flaked coconut (my kids won't touch raisins or nuts.) They were quick, easy and tasty.

Baked Ziti III

This has replaced my old recipe. The family loved it so it's a keeper. Next time I may add some Italian sausage, not that it needs it though. Great recipe!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
PERFECTION!!!! I let the eye-of-round come to room temperature before cooking, which resulted in a medium-done roast. Everyone, including myself, raved over the roast. I also used Montreal Steak seasoning. I cannot wait to make it again!! The best eye-of-round I've ever had, hands down! PERFECT!!!

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
HOLY COW!!!! I made these the night before, hoping I could wait overnight but I couldn't! They smelled too good. I let them cool for about 30 minutes before I tasted a small piece, big mistake. Soooo good! I did manage to save half of the pan for breakfast, great the next day too!!! I cannot wait to make these again!

Very good, dense and moist! I even added fresh blackberries & raspberries to one half and that turned out equally well. Thanks for the recipe!!!

These were the best I've ever had! I did make a minor change, I used Dijonnaise instead of yellow mustard. PERFECT! I brought them to Easter dinner and none were left. This is a keeper!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
Great recipe, perfect as a base. I added about 2 TBSP more of milk because it was a little too thick. I added chocolate chips to the kids pancakes and they licked the plates clean! I can't wait to add some vanilla and cinnamon next time. A keeper, this replaces my recipe from an old Better Home and Gardens cookbook!

Artichoke Wonton Cups

Very good. Went over well at my party. I will make these again but substitute half of the mayo with cream cheese. I also added a pinch of red pepper flakes. Very easy to make. They reheat well and still taste great the next day!!

Aloha Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
My husband and I thought this was delicious but it didn't go over well with the kids. I omitted the garlic salt and used fresh garlic to cut back on sodium. I also used the crock pot but I think it would be better in the oven, thicker sauce. Gonna try it again, it was good, something different!

Chewiest Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2007
DECADENT!!!!The only changes I made was to use a 9x7x2 inch pan sprayed with Pam and I reduced the sugar to 1 3/4 cup. Baked an additional 15-20 minutes because of pan size. A definite keeper, delicious, the best I ever made!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine how good these will be tonight with vanilla ice cream :P YUMMMMMM!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
This was delicious. I followed the suggestions from the reviews but left out the bullion. Too much sodium. I served it over egg noodles and it turned out great! My husband and two picky kids gobbled it up. I was even asked to make it more often!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

PERFECT!! Absolutely delicious! I used 1 package of regular cream cheese and a package of 1/3 less fat, sooo good! Next time I will try it with 2 packages of lower fat cream cheese. Either way it's awesome!
