Simple Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
Tried these for the first time today and they came out wonderful! My friend said they are better than Starbucks :) I used craisins, brushed the top with milk and sprinkled cinnamon and sugar over the top. They took longer to bake but I think that was because I made them thicker. I loved the idea of shredding the butter, I will use that for many more recipes! I didn't read the reviews until after they were in the oven, using a food processor does seem like an easier softer way! Very happy with this recipe and can already see many ways to make it my own.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Great recipe, simple and easy! I added about 3/4 cup of mini chocolate chips and it came out wonderful! It says it makes 10, I got a full dozen regular sized muffins. I will be using this recipe a lot!

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I find that pork loin tends to be dry 95% of the time. This recipe produced the BEST pork loin I have ever made! It is tender, moist and so flavorful! I agree with one of the reviewers that if you use a cheap vinegar, you will not get the same result. I used a mid range balsamic and I did not experience any of the preview reviewers complaints of strong pungent odor. I will be making this over and over again!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
Great flavor! This was my first experience with meringue and I didn't know that the trick is to spread the meringue over the crust and to the pan. My meringue shrank and didn't look very pretty, but it tasted great!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
This is a wonderful recipe. I love coconut and really liked how simple this was. After dropping to to the pan, I used a fork and smashed the cookie down. The second time I made these I dipped them halfway in dark chocolate, yummy!

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2011
This is a simple delicious recipe. I love the crescent roll crust. When I poured all the butter onto I was worried but it cooked up just right. Tastes like a decedent cheese cake that is simple to make! I have made this many times and it is always a hit!

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
Very good! Easy to do and great flavor. I followed others advice and cooked over night, shredded and refrigerated with juice for the day before serving for dinner. Didn't change the recipe ingredients and found it to be perfect. My husband said I could serve this for dinner at least 3 times a week!
