Perfect Lemon Curd

I wanted Orange curd but I can't buy any decent lemon curd in South Africa and nobody has heard of orange curd but I wanted this for a fantastic chocolate orange tart. I just changed the lemons for oranges; absolutely fantastic. I didn't bother to try the other recipes I found on the net. About eggs curdling, I use a stoneware pot that I cook everything with eggs in, sauces, etc which I put in the pan with boiling water. The water boils but the eggs don't curdle. It's a slow method but worth every minute as there's no fear of any burning either.

White Bread I

I've made this for the first time this morning. The tast is excellent, my daughter walked in and asked for a slice as she was starving (a thick slice) even she thought it was gorgeous. Same problem though, I live in Johannesburg, 6000 ft above sea level and even with some adjustments still very dense. Will mke it again later in the week though as it's worth it for the flavour. Many thanks for sharing this

A really good dressing. I usually use grape seed oil, which I prefer but this was just as good with the vegetable oil.

Poppy Seed Dressing II

Great recipe. I've made it a couple of times now and when it's past its "use by" date we use it to baste meat on the braai (barbecue). It is absolutely super. I vary it with the amount of seeds, sugar and type of vinegar and oil but it's just as good with any variation. Keep them coming. Susie Blue, Johannesburg, SA
