Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
Wow, these were a hit! My 11 year old daughter is veggie, husband does not like beans, and other daughter is 8 and sometimes picky, but all voted "make again" on these! I cut in half just in case they did not fly, but will make more to freeze next time! I put a lot less chili powder. Was that susposed to be teaspoon?

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
No grill, I baked at 450. @0 min, turn, 20 min. Made red pepper and summer squash for veggie daughter. Did the cornstarch thing with the marinade and basted in the last 10 min. Everyone voted MAKE AGAIN! Even picky eaters! Oh, did not have sherry. Just used some pineapple juice from the can.

Cake Pops by Duncan Hines®

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
Taste great! Kids loved them even though they looked a mess! If I had made them they would have looked more like the pictures (I wish I took one of ours!) The reason I made them was for the process with the kids. Rolling out the balls the melting chocolate, crumbling up a cake, melting chocolate! These are all really fun things for a kid. I knew it would it would be a nightmare mess and my kitchen did look like a candy explosion as one other reviewer warned but it was a joyful mess! I like to think of it as a great memory and experience with my kids rather than a nightmare. Making messes like that with your mom is what being a kid is all about. Make these, just don't try and make them perfect! When the ball falls off the stick cover it with chocolate, scoop it out with a spoon, put it in a tray and stick the stick in the top, and put it in the fridge or freezer. Just have fun! We called them cake blobs on a stick and had a great time. We sent our messy blobs in as my daughters birthday treat and all the kids were impressed. Worth the mess.

Eggplant, Zucchini and Sweet Red Pepper Stew

I Didn't have onion wine or pepper flakes. Might have been even better with. I also didn't put the rice into the simmering veggies, I just served it all over rice.

Tomato Basil Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
This was a great lite soup. I used veggie broth because my daughter is a veg. My kids, who do not even eat sauce on there pasta, ate this with crutons. So easy to make! Will be making this again.

Summer Vegetable Ratatouille

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
I would probably add some more herbs next time as some other people suggested, but my 7 vegan ate it. (she's a vegan we're not) I've been trying get more veggie main dishes for her that the rest of the family would enjoy as well. When we rented the movie Ratatoulle I thought, here's my chance!
