About this Cook
I grew up in a family of 9 children, where my father shared with the cooking as well as the laundry and cleaning. Now that were all married my brothers help their wifes witht the cooking. Mine does in the summer with the grilling.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook simple things. It is now just the two of us so I don't cook like I used to.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The tradition that stuck with me while growing up is having either fried chicken or roast on Sundays.
My cooking triumphs
When I had my mother and father-in-law over for the first time, I remember I made a roast and it turned out so moist, I was soooo proud of myself!!
My cooking tragedies
Now that is a toss up it has to be the time I made gravy that I could hang wallpaper with or the time I made brownies and put Castoria in the mix instead of Vanilla, when I discovered the mistake I called the nurse and of course between laughing so hard she told me that the kids would be OK!!

Baker's Clay
I used to make this for my kids when they were little. My granddaughter and I are going to mix this up today...it's funny to see the reviews claiming they were too sweet! LOL it's clay not a cookie to eat!!!

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
We make this all the time, never had to precook the bacon. My boyfriend likes to boil the shrimp until it's pink, but I think it would be better not to. Anyway wonderful flavor!!

Bacon Wrapped Barbeque Shrimp
This recipe is excellent, my hubby makes this, he adds Tobasco sauce to the BBQ sauce, instead of putting them in the over he grills them outside or on the George Foreman grill. very yummy!
