Very good; Only thing I changed was put brown sugar and ketchup on top instead of bottom of pan

Easy Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2012
I tried this recipe using a spiral pre-cooked ham and it only needed 4 hours on high. I did have to rotate the ham halfway through since it was too big for the slow cooker and I wanted to make sure both sides were absorbing the apple cider mixture. I didn't use any cloves but added pineapple juice and brown sugar to the top of the ham during the cooking process. Very easy to make. I have given the recipe to mys sister who will be making it for Christmas dinner this year.

Ricotta Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Ok so I made the cake as directed (using 3/4 of the ricotta listed and 3/4 of the eggs listed and added a litlle more vanilla to ricotta mixture). The cake came out great but I learned the hard way that you have to place a cookie sheet underneath the cake pan to catch the overflow that caused a brief smoke party in my oven. After scrubbing out the bottom of the stove, the cake baking was back on track. The cake was getting dark after about 45 minutes so I turned temp down to 305 degrees for 30 minutes and back up to listed temp for another 5 minutes. I tried it warm (cooling for 15 minutes) and it was great. I actually iced the cake with store bought icing and placed in fridge and it was even better today. I would definitely make again.

The recipe was good. I didn't use the Italian dressing but will next time. I bet that would make it better.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
These came out great! I made the foloowing changes: I used Lipton onion soup mix instead of all of the seasonings listed and I placed the potatoes in a rotisserie oven basket!

Slow-Cooked Pork Barbecue

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
The sauce was too watery for my taste. Next time I will not use any cola (even though I only used 1/2 a cup to begin with). I also think that next time I will cook the meat in the slow cooker and spoon the bbq sauce over the meat after it is placed in the bun. Try topping with coleslaw! Overall a good recipe!

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
I didn't really care for this recipe but my fiance loved it and he is very picky. It was just ok. Be careful with the cornstarch because I didn't have enough gravy and I only used 1 lb of meat. I would not try this recipe again.
