My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
Great recipe! The first time I tried this, they didn't turn out as well. They crab cakes weren't bad, but they didn't taste quite as I had expected. Either way, I gave it another try and they turned out great!! I will definitely be making these again.

Hot Buttered Apple Cider

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
This didn't turn out well at all. I followed the recipe exactly, but we could only taste the butter. Also, the recipe says this serves 8, but it only made 2 cups? Next time I'll try a simpler recipe which calls for cinnamon, no butter.

Salmon with Pineapple Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Love this! I prefer to chill the salsa as recommended by the creator of this recipe, but my boyfriend prefers it cooked with the salmon. Either way, it's absolutely delicious and something I'll keep in the regular rotation.

Catfish Tuscany

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
An absolutely wonderful way to cook Catfish! Instead of the tomato on top I use spaghetti sauce, and for the mayo I substituted a small scoop of french onion dip because we didn't have any mayo. Aside from these two changes, I followed the recipe exactly. This one is a keeper!

Think I'll stick to a more traditional Italian style dressing from now on.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Very, very tasty! I love the extra kick from the cilantro. The only part of the recipe I did differently was the lime juice - I just used about 1 tablespoon of lime juice from a bottle we already had, instead of purchasing a lime to squeeze. The recipe makes a lot of salsa, and it only gets better with time! We're going to make up another batch of this to take with us on vacation, but we might have to double or triple the recipe because it won't last long!

Vegetable Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2008
I really like the taste of this recipe. It's mild, not at all over-powering. I used all the ingredients listed, added some corn, and it turned out great. The recipe makes a lot, so I've got plenty of leftovers to eat for lunch over the next few days. I add a small drop of soy sauce to each serving only to enhance the flavor, but I could also do without it. All in all, a recipe I plan to repeat!

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
I've have received so many compliments before on a recipe... had to print copies of this recipe for my co-workers because everyone loved it so much! I also mixed up some more and wraped it in pita bread wraps as an alternative lunch. Very tasty!
