The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
This is incredible! I didn't have 3 large cans of crushed tomatoes (only one), so I used a 14 oz can of diced tomatoes and 14 oz can of tomato sauce plus a little bit of sofrito (about 2-3 Tbsp). I added a little red wine, red chili powder (for extra spice!), a little white sugar and some unsweetended cocoa powder. It was amazing! Try it with Absolute Mexican Corn Bread from this site.

Pasta e Fagioli II

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
This was AMAZING! I used a combination of beef consomme and beef broth instead of chicken broth and a couple shakes of hickory flavored liquid smoke instead of prosciutto. It was out of this world (I couldn't stop tasting it while it was cooking)! Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Chicken with Rice (Arroz con Pollo)

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
My family loves this recipe - I make it every other week! For more flavor, I add a packet of Sazon seasoning and a few drops of Maggi while cooking the rice and I add capers with the olives, etc. at the end. AMAZING and AUTHENTIC!

Indian-Style Rice with Cashews, Raisins and Turmeric

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I made a mistake and used cream of coconut (sweet) instead of coconut milk and my whole family loved it! Then I made it again with the coconut milk and they liked it, but not nearly as much. I personally thought it was too sweet with the cream of coconut, but will try it again using less than a whole can. Thank you for this recipe!

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
This was very good! I used turkey meatballs, used undiluted french onion soup and added a packet of onion soup mix and a little corn starch. Oh, and I also added a tablespoon or two of ketchup! I served it over spaghetti and my 2 toddlers actually liked it!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
THE BEST asparagus EVER!! I only cooked them about 10 1/2 minutes (they were perfect), used kosher salt, skipped the pepper, and added a little extra balsamic vinegar. THANK YOU!

Curried Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
This was soooo good!! I doubled the curry powder, added a little honey and dijon mustard instead of worcestershire, added cashews and water chestnuts and bits of pineapple (omitted celery and subbed raisins for grapes). It was gone in minutes! Thank you for the recipe

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
Absolutely the BEST SAUCE I've ever had! I added a "pinch" of baking soda along with the sugar and added a dash of red pepper flakes and some merlot. I didn't use the meat, just cooked the vegetables in a little olive oil before adding the tomatoes. I simmered it for about 4 hours. Incredible! Thank you for the recipe.

Casablanca Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2007
What a delicious, easy recipe! I didn't have mango chutney, so I added mango preserves, diced jalepenos, a little habanero sauce, and about 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Thank you for this "keeper". By the way, my kids (2 and 3) love it as well.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
This is THE BEST, especially when you add a little honey to the corn mixture. My husband requests this all the time (especially on game day with chili).
