Thai Peanut Noodle Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
Made this as is and it was good. Second time I made this I did what other reviewers mentioned and lessened the honey/bsugar. Even better! I rated 4 stars for the original recipe and it deserves a 5 star with the changes. 1) lessened honey and brown sugar to 1 Tb each, 2) My kids don't like the heat so used a pinch of cayenne pepper which left the after taste kinda heat instead, 3) sub rice wine vinegar instead of sake because I ran out, 4) used deep fried noodles instead of spaghetti noodles for a more authentic Chinese feel, 5) added chicken because we are carnivores, and 6) added peanuts at the end just before serving as a garnish...DELISH! Added this to the dinner rotation. So simple and full of flavour

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: May 8, 2013
TOTALLY...TOTALLY...IN L-O-V-E! I followed other reviews and only used 1/2 of the butter and left out the vanilla and that worked out much better. I used another post for the popcorn and mixed them together in a large baking dish. My husband and daughter request this every weekend for our movie nights. Thanks for the post!

Grilled Lamb with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: May 1, 2013
WOWZER! sooo yummy! i had lamb chops but gave it a shot anyway. i thought the cinnamon was a little strong for my taste. it left a strong after bite, i will cut down next time. my husband is from new zealand and he LOVES his lamb...me, not so much. but this recipe has me considering it more now. i didn't have a grill so i sautéed it in a saucepan for a few mins on each side then foiled a baking sheet and popped it in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 mins to finish it off while i prepared the sides. it was falling off the bone! you can guarantee i will be making this again next time i have lamb!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 1, 2013
O-M-G!!! i was skeptical putting curry, but it was so delish!!! i raved about it to all of my family members. this has become a top 5 to put into a sandwich. i put mine into a croissant. even my picky 5-yr old daughter devoured it! i didn't have dill weed or relish but thought it was still great as is! can't wait to try it with all the ingredients.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
My family and I LOVED this recipe. It's so simple and easy to make. After reading some of the review I didn't brown my chicken before putting it into the slow cooker. Next time I think I'll add a little less ginger and I saved 1/4 cup of the pineapple juice to mix with the corn starch. Will definitely be doing this one again soon.

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
this was my first time making fried chicken by myself...now that i'm married and on my own. this was easier than i thought and wasn't at all that messy. i did add a few things from what other reviews said to add more flavor. i added a packet of chicken flavor similar to a bouillon cube, lots of garlic salt w/ parsley, and a little bit of onion powder. there was so much flavor it didn't need any dipping sauces. i would definitely make this again.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
a lot of work and the batter part didn't stick very well. don't think i'd make again. UPDATE: i read other reviews and took their advice. i added olive oil with the butter and made sure the chicken was a deep golden brown before taking chicken out. i also doubled the sauce and added a little sugar to the sauce. this time it came out a lot better.

Oyster Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I did add a little bit of onion powder to mine. I also used 5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts chopped up into cubes instead of wings and it still came out nicely. I prepared my dish as a meal so I cooked 4 cups of white rice and put it on the bottom of a 9x13" pan and then I put the finished Oyster Sauce Chicken on top and sprinkled on a little bit of sesame seed for look. It was delicious! I will absolutely make this dish again and again and again!
