Cajun Crabmeat Au Gratin

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I am from New Orleans and was looking for a a recipe for crabmeat au gratin for my picky husband. He LOVED this recipe with the exception that for someone who loves salt thought it was EXTREMELY salty. Next time I will omit the salt all together. Other than that it had very good flavor.

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I follwed the directions with the exception of the pimentos. The chicken came out great but the sauce was runny. I don't know where I went wronng? The taste was great just not the consistency. Next time I will incorporate the instructions for Chicken Cordon Bleu II, which I have made many many times, The consistency for this recipe is wonderful.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
This was the best. My kids love mexican and so it was a great change from the traditional. I accidentally added too much cream chees.(5oz too much) Still perfect. I added a bit of sourcream to the tops and made sure to follow everyones advice on putting taco sauce under the shells in the pan. My kids could not get enough. This one is a keeper.

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
I didn't have time to pan fry the chops, so I put them directly imto the crockpot seasoned and added the broth and one can of crm of mush. I followed the remainder of the instructions and they came out beautifully, except that in my error I left them in the oven and they were a bit dry, but next time I will remember. Great pork cop recipe!!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I substituted chicken broth for beer because I didn't have any. I actually liked it better without and without the calories.(I have tried it both ways)I didn't have time to defrost my chicken so took the advice of someone else and put them in frozen. Great easy recipe. I like it best as a dip with chips, cheese, and sour cream.**** If you need a good meal with low calories sub ckn croth for beer and 1 can of rotel. No sourcream, cheese or chips. Right over 2100 calories for the WHOLE CROCKPOT!! Have lost weight!!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
This was awesome!!! Everyone loved it. I made two batches, a kid friendly and the recipe as written. I omitted the mushrooms and red peppers for the kids. I am from southern Louisiana we like things spicy so it was perfect but the kids did comment that it might have been a little too spicy for them. Definitely restaurant quality.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
I served this to my family and they all loved it. I found it to be a bit plain, but I guess it was worth sacraficing a little bit of taste for the little time it took to make. I made one 9x13 pan as per the recipe minus the mushrooms for the kids, and for the adults I made a 9x13 pan as per the recipe and added spicy spaghetti season, garlic powder, and seasoned diced tomatoes. This recipe makes a huge 9x13 definitely more than 8 large servings.

Jimmy's Mexican Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Very good!! I didn't have tortillas so I used taco salad shells and baked them flat instead of in a bowl. You can bake them first if you want it crispy or you can use them right out of the bag. It tastes just like Taco Bells only better.

Baked Beans II

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
I have made this numerous times and I have found that everyone has always said it was ok until I omitted the vinegar and substituted onion powder for the onions. Then they thought it was GREAT!! If you like a twang to your beans leave in the vinegar and if you like crunch to your onions leave in the onions. Thanks for such a good and easy basic bean recipe.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
This was a great recipe sooooo easy. My husband said he thought that it was restaurant quality. I used 3/4 mayo, 3/4 sour cream, 1 cup parmesean, 1 sm cn mushrooms, 1 cn artichoke hearts, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. It gave me a milder taste of the mayo as athers had suggested and a little extra sauce for the noodles. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Crawfish Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
Excellent recipe. This is a fool proof recipe I have made it over a dozen times and it is always a big hit with everyone. I like to add a can od diced new potatoes, and serve with both shredded cheese and french bread. Also, you can substitute yellow onions for the green ones and I have also sub half and half for milk but my husband always notices and complains.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
So easy!! Every time I bring these I get asked for the recipe. I have made the with every flavor that oreo makes. They are very good with original dipped in white almond bark. YUM!! Make sure to use two spoons to roll the balls around in the chocolate. I did this for the first time and don't know why I didn't do it sooner. I have always refrigerated them and then used a toothpick to assist in the coating process. My son and I did three batches in a half an hour!! I will never think twice about making these because of time.
