Korean BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2014
Loved this sauce. Was just a bit too much garlic for me. Put it on a apple marinaded pork tenderloin and smoked with Applewood. I let it grill very slow and basted with the sauce. FANTASTIC!!!!! Next time, and there will be a next time, I will use only one tablespoon garlic and go from there.

Red Velvet Cake with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2014
Made this cake 2 times this week. The first time did not turn out very good. I did not have pudding so I added extra cocoa.BIG MISTAKE, it was very dry, then as an afterthought maybe I could have used some mayonaisse to make it moist. second time was MUCH better. I followed the recipe for the cake to the T. and it came out perfect. not as red as I thought a red velvet cake should have been. Next time I will try paste or gel color.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake in a Glass

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
EXECELENT drink for the summer. @ Anne, if you can't find the cake vodka (I've never seen it before either), use a 1 oz. shot of each Buttershot Schnapps, Peach Schnapps, Almeretto, and 3 ozs. pineapple juice. Use a drop or 2 of the cherry juice for the grenadine. This is the way I make it and it taste just like a liquid PUSDC

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
In how many languages can you say AWESOME? This is a new household favorite. I made these exactly how the recipe read with the exception of allowing the yeast, sugar and water sit for about 10 minutes, and I had no problems whatsoever. My only suggestion is, if you are unsure about the temperature of the milk then purchase a kithchen thermometer it will become your best friend. I made sure the milk did not go over 115 degrees. I am slowly getting into the bread making hobby and this is one that will become a staple in my home and at work. Thanks for the recipe.

Blueberry Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
First of all my final product was great. However, when I looked at the time it took from start to finish I was wondering how in the world it was going to take 50 minutes total for an yeast dough to rise in say 30 minutes. It should have said 3 hours total (prep, rise, bake). I did not have any berries but on the advise of another review I made plain and they totally awesome. If you are confused with the 2-5oz cans, then ONLY USE 1 REG CAN OF EVAPORATED MILK and measure the amount you need in glass measure cup. I used a reg kitchen themometer to measure the milk and butter then allowed the yeast to sit for 5 minutes to proof. Thanks for the recipe will definatly use it again.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
Very good after you take the crunchy top off of it.I have lived in the St. Louis area my whole life and has NEVER seen a gooey butter cake look like this (and it is not traditional at all) It made a toasted marshmallow look crust on the top and almost impossible to pull the cake away from the pan. Next time I will add a small amount of PAM and like the others had said bake at 325 or 350 for 35 minutes.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
How can you say AWESOME in every language. These were so easy to make I thought I was doing something wrong. I made some with salt and some plain, then added a glaze on top and added purple, yellow and green colored sugar for a different Mardi Gras treat. When I went back to work the next day they were gone. Next time I will try brushing with some butter after the baking soda dip to see how that goes.

was very good. I didn't have dates so I used dried cranberries instead. Kept in the oven for 20 minutes and no more. This is a very chewy cookie and easy.

Sweet Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
very good but I did some tweeking myself. Left out the sugar like suggested, and left out the mayo altogether. I added a shot or 2 of hot sauce and added the bacon, broccoli in the mix. My daughter who Hates bacon loved this even though I had to tell a fib and tell her it was bacon bits (soy)

Tomato Barley Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
Great base for "extra room" to play with, I minced my vegetables and added beef broth, diced pieces of leftover round steak and rice ( didn't have barley) I did take the advice of others and added some basil and kosher salt. What a hit!

Pineapple Pie I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2007
I have only one problem with this pie.... I cannot give it more than 5 stars. As I am typing I am waiting for my 4,5,6,&7th pineapple pies to come out of the oven. This is within a week. I had people stop me in church to ask if I was making anymore of these for our parish fish fry this week. I did decrease the amount of coconut to 1/4 cup and added just a little more pineapple.
