Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE. I MADE THESE FOR MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY PARTY OVER THE WEEKEND AND THEY ARE GREAT. EVERYONE LOVED THEM. I DID CHANGE IT UP A LITTLE BIT THOUGH. I MADE THE CREAMCHEESE FILLING AND DIVIDED IT SO I COULD MAKE HALF OUT OF SHRIMP AND HALF OUT OF CRABMEAT. I USED GARLIC AND HERB DIP MIX SINCE I COULD NOT FIND GREEN ONION OR SPRING ONION. I OMITTED THE SALT AND PEPPER. ALSO I ADDED BACON ON THE TOP AND BAKED THEM UNTIL THE BACON WAS NICE AND BROWN. NEXT TIME I MAKE THEM I WILL ADD A LITTLE CILANTRO. I AM SUBMITTING A PICTURE OF SOME ON A PLATE BEFORE THEY WERE ALL GONE. WILL DEFINITELY MAKE AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Banana Loaf Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2006
THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE. IT IS SIMPLE AND IT IS VERY GOOD. MY 4 YR OLD HELPED ME MAKE THIS LAST NIGHT. WE MAKE HALF INTO MUFFINS AND HALF INTO A LOAF. MY DAUGHTER NEVER HAS ATE "CRUMBLY" THINGS, NEVER MADE IT PAST THE ICING ON ANY KIND OF CAKE OR CUPCAKE, BUT SHE ATE 2 OF THE MUFFIN ONES LAST NIGHT AND KEPT TELLING ME OVER AND OVER IT WAS THE BEST THING SHE EVER TASTED. MAYBE BECAUSE SHE NEVER ACTUALLY MADE IT TO THE CAKE BEFORE AND ALWAYS REFUSED A MUFFIN/CUPCAKE WITH NO ICING ON IT. I DID NOT PUT ANY ICING ON ANY OF IT. IT IS VERY GOOD PLAIN WITH A GLASS OF MILK OR COFFEE. IT IS GOOD WARM OR COLD AS WELL. IT IS THE DAY AFTER AND ALL THAT IS LEFT IS ALMOST 3 PEICES. A VERY SIMPLE RECIPE THAT IS WORTH AT LEAST 5 STARS TO ME. I DID USE 2 BANANAS MASHED UP AND ADDED TO THE WALNUTS BECAUSE WE ALL LOVE THEM. THANKS FOR A WONDERFULLY SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS RECIPE. I WILL BE MAKING THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Pecan Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2006
THIS IS A VERY QUICK,EASY AND TASTY TREAT. I MADE THESE ON THANKSGIVING AND I WILL BE MAKING THEM AGAIN. I USED A REGULAR MUFFIN PAN LINED WITH PAPER CUPS. WHEN THEY COOLED I TOOK THEM OUT OF THE PAPER CUPS AND HAD THEM ON A TRAY. THEY LOOKED LIKE FINE PASTRIES FROM A HIGH END BAKERY. THE PAPER CUPS PUT A GREAT DECORATIVE LOOK ON THEM. NEXT TIME I AM GOING TO TRY THEM IN A MINI MUFFIN PAN ALSO LINED WITH PAPER CUPS. THANKS FOR THIS GREAT RECIPE FOR A WONDERFUL TASTING VERY SIMPLE AND QUICK DESERT. I WILL BE TAKING PICTURES NEXT TIME I MAKE THESE SO EVERYONE CAN SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE.

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
I tried these hash browns this morning and they turned out great. I did the recipe like it says except for the amount of oil. I cooked bacon while I prepared the hash browns and after the bacon was cooked I poured out some of the grease and fried the hash browns in the same pan that i cooked the bacon in. I did mine in small patties and they turned out great. I will be making these again and maybe next time I will add some crumbled bacon. Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2007
This is a great recipe!! I tried this last night and it was a hit. My hubby even said it was good and he doesnt like peaches. The only changes I made was I added 1 tsp vanilla to the batter with a couple shakes of cinnamon and a shake of nutmeg. I reduced the sugar for the batter to 3/4 cup. I put the butter in the bottom of the pan instead of in the batter. I added 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon to the peaches and juice and let simmer on stovetop for about 15 minutes. I poured the peaches in the pan on top of the butter and then added the batter and baked until it was nice and brown on top. I used two 8 in cake pans to bake in. I had my batter in one measuring bowl and my peach mix in another. I poured half of each in each pan and set them on cookie sheets in the oven. There was very little spill over. We ate a whole one with icecream and i wrapped the other one up with foil after it cooled and froze it. I will make this again since it was good and very easy to make. I will try different fruit or combinations of fruit next time. Thanks for this recipe.
