Strawberry Whipped Sensation

Tasted good, but difficult to eat I thought. It was very hard in the freezer but too soft in the fridge.

Preacher's Delight

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
Good, but I didn't think the cake itself had much of a coconut flavor. It was VERY moist. I, too, didn't use all the mixture because I was afraid it would be a mess. I made a layer cake and mixed some crushed pineapple into the whipped cream. I sprinkled coconut all over the cake after it was frosted. YUMMY!!

Chocolate-Mascarpone Phyllo Triangles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I halved the recipe because I've never worked with phyllo. They were a complete mess (mostly my fault), but SO good! I added a tablespoon of sugar and increased the vanilla because of reviews of bitterness. Definitely decrease the amount of filling in each triangle, or you'll be cleaning the bottom of your oven just like me! Next time, I'll try the mascarpone substitute on this site because the real thing is hard to find and VERY expensive where I live.

Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
Excellent! I used a tub of whipped garlic butter and some italian bread that was a few days older than I'd like for sandwiches. GREAT way to get more use from old bread instead of throwing it away!

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I had some italian bread, so I used the garlic croutons recipe from this site and omitted the garlic from one batch. The croutons were great, the casserole had a nice flavor and was easy to make, but none of my family would eat it because it was a little soggy. I followed the directions to the letter and I didn't think it was as soggy as some casseroles I've eaten before (I didn't like those at all). I wish there was a way to make a wonderful casserole without the sog!!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Not so great. I didn't care for the consistency at all. Very soft and fluffy, though.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2007
I LOVE broccoli salad, but had never made it before. I will definitely do it again and again. I left out the sunflower seeds and added cheddar cheese and slivered almonds instead. I added the 'crunchy' stuff just before it was served. I also used a package of real bacon (like you use on salad) instead of cooking bacon because I was in a hurry. Everyone LOVED it!!

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
This was very tasty, everyone loved it! My sauce didn't thicken well, I think I used too much butter. I turned on the broiler the last few minutes to give the chicken a brown color. Will definitely make again!

Apple Pumpkin Desserts

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2007
Excellent!! I didn't have custard cups so I put this in an 8 x 10 casserole dish and it worked out just fine. I'd like to try it in a regular pie crust, too!

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 3, 2007
Pretty good. I added sour cream for a little bite and some fresh pepper. I didn't have any chips so I used Fritos. Not such a good idea, won't do that again. Overall, it was ok. My fish hating daughter even ate it!

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
Good taste, not as sweet as I'd liked. I wish there had been instruction on adding fruits. I tried dried blueberrys and that worked ok so I kneaded in some frozen ones before baking. Not the best idea. I might try again sometime. I'm not sure it's worth the time investment, but they were very good.

Mama D's Italian Bread

SO SO SO SO GOOD!! I couldn't find sub rolls at the store yesterday, so I made this recipe and cut it into 6 pieces for our italian sausage sandwiches! WONDERFUL! The recipe forgot to say how long to bake, but mine did well in about 25+ minutes.

Very easy, not a fan of the yellow cake mix on top, it's a little too rich for me. The family liked it a lot.

I don't know what happened to mine, but it fell after it cooled. The taste was good when I tested it out of the oven. I'll probably try again.
