Holiday Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This was an easy treat for the holidays. Made just like the recipe - Everyone wanted to help 'smash' the candies. Will definitely make it again.

Strawberry Twinkie Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
Loved it. Used half of the cream cheese mixture and made the strawberry supreme topping like others suggested. My husband thought it was too sweet, so will try it with pound cake next time.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
Delicious!!! And, easy to put together. I made up the night and popped it into the oven for an hour before serving. I also used the great tip for the noodles. Saved soooo much time.

Venison Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
We didn't care for this. The brown sugar makes it too sweet. And, for the kids to say it was 'too sweet' and 'we wouldn't want this again' says it all.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
Yummy, as usual. Like others, I omit the water and use all chicken broth. Also, I used a bag of store bought tortilla chips.

Venison Tips and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Good use of some of that venison in my freezer. I am looking for more recipes to create new ways to prepare it. I also used the Zatarain's Dirty Rice mix, and I left out the peppers. I followed another reviewers advice and added beef bouillon cubes. I felt it was too salty, tho. I will make it again and leave out the bouillon cubes.

Venison Tequila Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
Loved it! I used 'chili ready' tomatoes and crushed tomatoes. Also, I always dump into my chili a combination of whatever beans I have in the pantry. So, I used Great Northern beans and Black Beans. I am not a big venison fan, but have two hunters in my home. This is one venison recipe I can enjoy.

Bacon-Wrapped Scallops

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
Good recipe. I skipped the spinach, and brushed a melted butter/lemon juice/garlic salt combo on the scallops before I broiled them. Delicious!

Very good recipe!!! My family loved it. I used a can of beef broth to make up for some of the water. I will be making this again.

Awesome! Used white potatoes and parmesan cheese and it was delicious. I have had multiple requests to repeat this recipe.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
Loved this recipe. Made it indoors on the contact grill. Didn't have Dijon, so used a spicy mustard. Then, just added the Honey and Miracle Whip, as I didn't have mayo or steak sauce. Turned out terrific! And, do make extra for dipping.

Garlic-Brown Sugar Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
Did not care for this recipe. I used less vinegar, per the other review, but the flavor just wasn't there. Sorry.

Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
This sauce did not turn out at all for me. I was very disappointed, as it sounded terrific. The taste just was not there.

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
Awesome flavor in this recipe. I took the advice of others and put some carrots, potatoes, celery, and onion in the roasting pan. Turned out terrific. I even made gravy with the pan drippings and it turned out!!! (A first in my kitchen!) I will be making this pork roast recipe again.
