Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
Deeeelicious!!! Made it just how it says, used blue moon beer and "hot" Chili beans along with "original" not mild tamatoes & chilis..had a little kick! Only thing j did differently. Was i cooked it on high instead of low because I wanted to make sure all of the alcohol would be evaporated as I have kids. Will be making again! ;)

My Mom's Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
It was good, made it exactly as written except that I used boneless chicken breasts. It just seemed a little bland to me, but it definitely wasn't bad. Not sure if I'll make it again though...

Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
i thought it was good! a little work seperating and all, but the day of the party was easier this way...usually i'm still mixing up the punch when people start to arrive since i'm always late! anyways, i divided into 4 freezer bags so i could evenly divide it into the punch bowl with 1 bottle ginger ale/2 freezer bags. i used 2 1/2 cups sugar & the 2 strawberry 1 raspberry jellos. i placed the bags in the freezer about 1pm the day before the party & took it out of the freezer at about 12pm the day of the party & the party was at 3pm. they weren't completely frozen solid but mostly froze. i used the least frozen bags in the first bowl & reserved the more frozen 2 in the utility sink for later...and i did need them cus everyone did love the punch! it tasted like a fruit punch slushy i thought. definitely will make again, my boys want me to try grape next time.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
very good! i thought it was very yummy! i was a little nervous, but it's a keeper. i had doubled the recipe for a party & wanted to make it ahead, so i mixed together all of the ingredients minus the spinach & artichokes the day before. i thawed the spinach in the microwave & places it in a small collander over a bowl uncovered in the fridge so it could continue to drain overnite & maybe dry out a little. this worked very well! it was still pretty wet when i went to use it but it worked just fine. ( i also used as someone else suggested 1/2 sour cream & 1/2 mayo, no salt at all-replaces with a dash of garlic powder, added 1/2 cup moz. cheese into the mixture & another 1/2 on top and i only used 1 1/2 cans artichokes). the day of the party all i had to do was fold in the spinach & artichokes & top with moz. & bake. i baked it for 30-35 mins. since i had doubled the recipe, was perfect! give it a try! i served it w/tortilla scooping chips!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
My mom has made this cake since I was a little girl, it is the absolute best chocolate cake ever! I make it for my family now & they love it as well! It is so moist you don't even need to frost it if you want something not too sweet, but of course if you're in a chocolate craving mood, chocolate frosting on it is fantastic, too! I usually make this in my bundt pan. I use for the coffee 2T instant coffee granules + water to =1cup & 1T white vinegar + milk to =1 cup sour/buttermilk. It makes making the cake faster & I never have buttermilk on hand. If you try this cake it will be a family tradition for your family, too, I am sure! Enjoy!
