Sausage 'N' Apple Baked Squash

This was really really great! I'm vegetarian, and I substituted veggie sausage for meat, I also added chopped celery. Delicious!

Greek Olive and Onion Bread

bake at 350. Not 450. My bread was "done" in twenty minutes. I think next time I'll try 350 instead. Good flavor, wowweeee does it make a lot of bread. These are giant loaves! Next time I'll make 4 smaller loaves instead of 2 bigees.

Gold Onion Soup

I really don't understand how anyone could think this was bland!! The only thing I changed was using 4 cups vegetable broth and 4 cups water. It was soooo goood! Finally a vegetarian onion soup from scratch that is perfected!

perfect. I love these, my kids loved these. They went so fast I made another batch and stuck em in the freezer. We will make this again and again!

good recipe! Not too crispy. I did add a bit more vanilla. If you want to make cutouts, just refridgerate for about an hour first. Then roll on floured surface.

I used 1c whole fresh cranberries, added 1/4 c brown sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. I also made them "drop" scones. My husband LOVED them!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
So so pretty! A bit of work though. And my cream cheese was runny, with chunks, and didn't look right, so I added a half a box more cheese. I dolloped it right on top just like the recipe says, and it came out perfect, just like those famous Starbucks ones. I also skipped the nuts and stirred a bag of dried cranberries right into the batter. I used veggie oil instead of olive oil, and added pumpkin pie spice, since I was low on cinnamon. I wish they were a little bit more pumpkiney tasting, but I think, short of pumpkin extract, it would be hard to achieve. My whole family loved these, and I sent a big batch to the fire house with my husband too! This recipe makes about 36 muffins, twice what I expected, which was awesome!

Salmon Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Great last minute recipe. I used canned salmon, as it's all I had, and I was having one of those "what am I making for dinner?!!" moments, searched salmon and pasta and lo and behold this one came up. I added zuchini. It was excellent!

Very Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Even the dough is soo good, I'm amazed they even made it into the oven! Once done, though, mine were a little flat and a bit too soft (falling apart soft). I think next time I'll try adding a bit more flour to get them to stand up better.

Thirty Minute Cocoa Cake With Quick Cocoa Frosting

Good cake. My first from scratch. I would put more chocolate into the batter; the cake was moist and otherwise a big hit. I served it with a cream cheese frosting.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
Dough was too wet, had to add more flour. Also, I don't own a bread machine (it's frustrating, really, for a hand-baker like me to look up bread recipes and only find machine recipes) so I was really glad to follow some other comments' suggestions on baking without the bread machine. Came out lovely, I just turned it out from the bowl after rising into a pie pan and got a really lovely round loaf.

This was so so good! Made this last night, the only thing we left out was cauliflower, subbed chickpeas. Perfect. The gravy was outstanding! A hit with the whole family.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

It was...okay. Very sweet and moist. But overall lacking in flavor. It was just sweet. Since this doesn't appeal to my family, it was a miss. But I think that it will definately appeal to those with bigger sweet tooths than us.

Overall pretty darn good. But we found it to be so spicy it was almost inedible. Next time I will cut down on the cayenne pepper. I also found that the cooking time was almost double what was recommended, to get my cauliflower cooked all the way through. I also substituted chickpeas for potatoes, chopped ginger for the ginger paste, added cilantro and used the entire can of coconut milk because I wanted it saucy. Served over rice and it was so good.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
Overall it was good. I would add an egg next time and cut down the veggies. There was too much filling and my quiche came out kinda watery and not all that eggy. But it tasted good nonetheless. Good recipe, just needs tweaking
