Frosted Nutmeg Logs

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Theese were great! A subtle taste of rum, nice and hard and the frosting tastes great. Takes a little bit of time to put on the frosting, but it's well worth the effort!

Tiny Tarts

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
These are great! Several people have asked for the recipe on these. I only changed one thing, as I had a problem with the sugar crystallizing, so I added about one tbsp corn syrup.

White Chocolate Holiday Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
These were so good! When eating cookies you expect them to be sweet, and these are, but the spices give them that extra umph! And I love white chocolate, so these cookies really were ideal. I made them for christmas, but you can make them year round. I had them in the oven for 20-25 minutes though, but it is a new oven and I feel that I have to cook everything for longer than the recipe states, so that might just be my oven. Great cookies!!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
This is great! I served it at a large BBQ last year and everybody liked it, some have even requested it later. I used one of the tips and made one with half mayo, half sour cream and one with only mayo. Both were equally good. Neither me nor my guests could pick a favorite. The bacon gives it an interesting touch, but remember not to put it in till right before serving it, or it might get soggy.

Glazed Mint Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
I'm not sure how to rate these, so I ended up on four stars. Because the brownies were really good, but the mint filling was way too strong, I had to throw the cake out. But I don't live in the US, maybe the peppermint extract we have here is much stronger than the one you have in the US. I also had to use much more than 3 drops of food coloring, so next time I'll just try 3 drops of peppermint and 1/2 teaspoon of food coloring.

Cherry Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
I expected a lot more of this cake. The taste was quite ordinary and I'm not sure I liked the cherries "popping" up while I was eating the cake. I made it in two 9 inch round shapes but I had to bake it a lot longer than the suggested time.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2007
I didn't like this cake very much. The cocoa powder made it too dark and the cheese filling didn't "match" the cake, it felt out of place. Not particulary good.
