Easy Southern Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
We had breakfast for dinner tonight and I realized I didn't have anymore frozen southern biscuits. I made this recipe and I honestly do not think we will ever buy frozen or refrigerated biscuits again. These were so easy to make, and so light and fluffy. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. It was a huge hit with all of our family here in Alabama. Good southern cookin'!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
After spending a morning at Bass Pro Shop smelling their delicious fudge cooking in the cafe, I returned home ready to make my own (rather than pay $12.99 for a pound!). I took the advice of some commenters and replaced the granulated sugar with powdered sugar. I set the timer for 6 minutes once I turned the heat down to medium and I have to say this is the absolute easiest and best fudge recipe out there. It is perfect and fool proof!

Country Breakfast Casserole

This is delicious. To cut corners, I put in a bottom layer of frozen hashbrown patties. Everyone loved it!

Authentic, No Shortcuts, Louisiana Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
Oooh, mama, this is good! Just like my ancestors in Looosiana made! I too, cut the water by 2 cups. Instead of andouille sausage which is expensive and hard to come by at the typical grocer here in Alabama, we used Conecuh sausage, cajun style, which is an Alabama product. Not sure if you can get it in other states but it is an awesome substitute and super flavorful. I doubled this recipe and froze 2 gallons of it for more meals later this season. Not only a flavorful recipe, but an economical one for a family on a budget!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
Chicken was delicious but it did not caramelize the way I had hoped. It was more like a savory sauce. Probably my bad cooking!

Corn Chowder with Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This is an excellent recipe and it makes a ton and freezes very well. We used deer sausage in our chowder and like others, used chicken broth to up the flavor.

PHILLY Creamy Tomato and Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This makes a huge casserole so it is economical and easy for a crowd. It is a bit bland so I would recommend adding onion and garlic to the dish, perhaps oregano or some Italian seasoning blend. Throw in a bit of white wine or sherry and I think the missing flavor would be found.
