Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
Wow harsh review, I think there may have been something wrong with your cooker or something because I cant imagine the veggies being raw after hours and hours of slow cooking, but hope you find the recipe your looking for! As far as my experience with the recipe, I tweaked it a little for my own taste. I used broth instead of buillion and water, and I used a lot of it because I love the soupy gravy. I added the potatoes in half way through cooking so they wouldnt be mush, they were perfect! Added probably more veggies than recommended and some extra seasoning (garlic, tonys). But overall I just loved it! thanks for the recipe!

Orange Citrus Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This recipe was great, I used fresh orange juice, but next time I think I may try bought orange juice, for some reason I think it would be more flavorful. Either way, it was quick and easy!

Herbed Cream Cheese With Scallions and Tuna

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
I love the idea of this, I love all the ingrediants in it and I love this cream cheese, but this was terrible. I dont know what I did wrong, but I followed the directions exactly. I feel bad, but I just did not like this at all.

Patti's Mussels a la Mariniere

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
I have made this three times since I found the recipe and I am telling you it is absolutely amazing! My friends love it, and it is a very easy, pretty inexpensive upscale dish. I did double the sauce, and like previous reviews said...You MUST have crunchy bread to soak up the sauce. SOOOO Good!

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
I absolutely LOVED this! I doubled the recipe and used a whole cut up chicken. I added a little...three cloves garlic cut in half, and I used Basil, Rosemary and Thyme. This was just perfect and I will use this probably the rest of my life... oh and thanks to the person who suggested using a strainer with a paper towel instead of cheesecloth...it worked fantastic!

Easiest Eggplant

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
I was very excited about this recipe and I wanted to like it sooo much. BUT it just wasnt good. I was expecting a crisp crust and a soft inside, it was dry and soft throughout. I even used a previous suggestion and added a tomato, marinara sauce, and parm cheese, and it still just taste bad. I will stick to the Mississippi eggplant french fries also on this site, those are incredible!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
LOVED IT!!!!!! I read every rating beforehand and took advice of others. first I did not use much olive oil, maybe 1 1/2 tb. When I added the water and bouillon, I also added carrots, oregano, thyme, basil, and just a dash of chili powder, salt and pepper.I used a can of regular stewed tomatoes and just choped those up. It turned out excellent!! I will make often! Very inexpensive.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2007
I loved it! I have never cooked lamb before, never thought about it because it is pricey. I got a deal on it and found this recipe, decided to try it. My boyfriend and I both loved it! I only used two chops, thats all I had, but i did the origioncal amount of sauce, so if i were to make four chops i would def double the sauce. My boyfriend was a little scared because of the thick vinegar smell in the house, and the sauce was clunky. Once he bit into it, he was in love! I Served with steamed carrots, which tasted great with the sauce over it! Also, a green salad. I will make as often as possible!!!

Egg Salad/Cucumber Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2007
I am giving this a five, because there was only one thing that needed to be changed. I put two teaspoons of relish, and it was great, I actually made it tonight to eat tomorrow for lunch, so I am sure it will be good with the cucumber with sandwich bread! It would be incredibly bland without the relish though, and I also added a little thyme, if i had dill i would have used it though.

Chicken Bake and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
This was pretty good. My boyfriend swore it was one of the best things he had ever eaten, but I was not quite so impressed. The sauce was too rich for me, I think too much cream cheese. I did make some changes to it. I only used one can of cream of mushroom soup, I did not use the Italian seasoning because i didnt have it, instead I just used salt and pepper and a good amount of thyme. I also put green onions in the sauce and used as a garnish. I loved my changes, i guess it just depends on your tastes!

Old Mississippi Eggplant French Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
These were a huge hit! I think next time I may add a little more of the ranch seasoning, it was so good!!! Got grown men who have never liked eggplant eating it. Highly recommended. Also, I did serve it with some ranch dressing and it was great.

Mom's Warm Milk

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
This is fabulous. it is 2 in the morning, and i am surfing recipes because I cant sleep! I run across this one, and reading the ratings, i had to make it. I have been sipping about 2 minutes and I already feel calm and a tad sleepy. I just might make this everyday from now on. I did not have nutmeg, so I used cinnimon. It was still yummy, and I cant wait to try it with nutmeg...off to bed!

Super Easy Salmon Cakes

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
hey were pretty good, i will make again. I added some lemon juice, and I also used Tony's and some red wine vinigar. I did increase the olive oil and decrease the cracker crumbs. I also doubled the recipe because of the amount of salmon I had, and made the cakes bigger, they would have been so tiny! I do plan on using it again!

Citrus Broiled Alaska Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I overall liked this recipe. I have never cooked salmon before, and this was a pretty good recipe to start with. I used lemon instead of oranges, because thats what I had on hand and I LOVE lemons anyway, and it turned out great. Dont skip on the vinigar or green onions, they added a great flavor!

Honey Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
It was incredible! I had to alter the amount of the glaze because of my amount of chicken, and I used breasts & drumsticks. I did not know if the drumsticks would turn out as good, but they did! I highly recommend this recipe. I 5 people and everyone ate it up.

Zucchini and Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2006
I thought it was great! I did add mushrooms and onions, parmasian, thyme and basil. Instead of one egg I used one egg and one eggwhite. I think it is a great to experiment with, and the zucchini and eggs worked surprisingly well together!
