Muesli

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2001
This recipe is excellent! (And it saves $ on cereal.) My husband loves it and eats it with organic yogurt. I've added slivered almonds, organic rye oats, and soy oats. It also works great as hot cereal--we added dry milk and dried blueberries on our last hiking trip.

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2002
Excellent! *Easy* way to cook lentils. Strangley, I used a can of rotel since I didn't have a can of tomatos, and added onion and garlic. It was wonderful. Be careful not to overcook and end up with mushy lentils.

Chocolate Cakes with Liquid Centers

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Easy, but gourmet dessert! So rich that one is usually enough for each guest. Can make ahead, refrigerate, then bring to room temp before baking. Serving option: after unmolding dust with confectioners sugar and serve with a scoop of Bryers chocolate-chip mint or other complimentary ice cream.

Pumpkin Butter II

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2002
Great recipe! I reduced the sugar to no more than equal to the amount of pumpkin. And I substituted a cup of brown sugar as well. This was simple and quick!

Salsa II

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2002
This one is great and easy! You can adjust for your salsa tastes--I added more cilantro and lime juice in place of the lemon. I also just chopped all my tomatoes on the second batch.

This is excellent and *no* MSG! I usually mix it fresh each time and use actual garlic and onions.

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Perfect and easy! Portabella mushrooms and a little garlic go very well. To serve, just cut the squash in quarters and place on the plate!

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2004
I loved the cookie and icing - received raves for them. I modify it for the seasons, e.g. add citrus to orange frosting for pumpkins, pink frosted hearts for valentine's day, etc.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2004
We thoroughly enjoy this recipe and often just make half for a quick addition to dinner. We do add bacon pieces in with the garlic and mushroom stems. And mix in 1/4 tsp of worchestershire sauce with the cream cheese for a little depth. Yum!

This sauce is excellent, but remember to make it ahead of time because it definitely improves with age.

I think this will be yummy jam, but after following the recipe exactly, my jam didn't set up. Frustrating.
