Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
These are fantastic! I made them a few days ago, and they are a hit with family and friends. It took longer than I expected to roll them out because the dough was so cold/hard, but worth it for the taste! Yum. I'll be making these again.

Cinnabun Cookies

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
These were amazing! Like other reviewers, I didn't put any cinnamon mixture on the pan - rather I put it all inside and used a powdered sugar glaze someone suggested. I also chilled the dough after making, and after rolling them so they were easier to cut (a sharp knife worked just fine). I served these at my first house party last weekend, and they were a hit!

Pasta/Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
I made a double batch of this for the first time this evening - I really enjoyed it! I think this is a great base recipe - you can really do what you want with it. On the suggestion of many reviewers, I simply added a pinch of sugar and I think that was great - everything else I followed "roughly" (I don't measure herbs and things anymore). This is a keeper, thanks!

Soft Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I made these tonight for the first time - very good! Mine were a bit shorter and fatter than the recipe states, but they were still really good. Also - I only got 14 out of it. I made this by hand as well as some other reviews - yeast, sugar, and water for 10 minutes. Added everything else except the flour, then mixed in the flour and kneaded for about 5 minutes. When eating one by itself out of the oven, my husband originally said it needed more garlic, but they were perfect for dipping in the homemade spaghetti I made for dinner. I'm betting the leftovers go well with a soup I'm planning tomorrow as well. Thanks for sharing!

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I made this the other day for the first time. I did as so many reviewers suggested and used 1/2 cup of Honey and 1 cup or Whole Wheat Flour and about 3.5 cups of All-Purpose in the second flour addition. My first rise was beautiful, and while my second rise never got anywhere near the top of the pan, it still tasted wonderful. I hope that next time I'll have better luck with the rising (it was cold in my house, boo) but even though its a bit "heavy" it still makes a great piece of toast. Thanks for the recipe!

Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight for the first time. My husband is a big Tater Tot fan, and I can just imagine how kids would love this! I did as some reviewers suggested and put a (drained) can of green beans under the layer of beef. I also mixed the beef with the soup/milk mixture, and put the Tater Tots on top. I baked it for about 25 minutes, and then changed it to Broil and topped the dish with cheese. It was great! Definitely very different, but very fun. I bet it will be great tomorrow as well.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Simply astounding! I also get amazing compliments whenever I take this to a party. As is, it's a bit too much chocolate for me, so I use regular cookie crumbs for the crust. I also tend to use more Bailey's - it hasn't hurt things yet!

Strawberries and Wine

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
So simple and wonderful! I eye-balled the ingredients and served it for dinner on Valentine's Day poured over top of a homemade Powdered Sugar Pound Cake - my husband (who isn't a big cake fan) couldn't get enough.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
My husband and I really enjoy this dish. Like other reviewers, I like to dice up some potatoes and put it in the dish as well as on the top and bottom - a great "something different tonight" dish!

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
I made this tonight for the first time with some leftover cooked chicken - my husband and I like to do a rotisserie chicken once a week or so and use the meat for sandwiches and other meals, and I've been looking for more than just the staple chicken pot pies and soups. We enjoyed this, although I made a few changes based on the ingredients I had at hand - 1 can of whole tomatoes, no juice, put in the blender (my husband loves tomato sauces so I thought this would best please him) and I used a dollop of Dave' Insanity Sauce instead of the hot sauce. Next time I'd like to use Fresh Basil like the recipe called for - I think it would bring more flavor to the dish. Still, something to add to my recipe box for sure! Thanks for posting.

These cookies are delightful! My husband adores them, and he isn't big on sweets. Store them tightly, and they'll last a long time!

Best Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This recipe is simply amazing. My husband loves it, and I even went home and made it for my parents and they couldn't get over how wonderful it was. It also smells delightful! I would suggest using stewed tomatoes instead of whole, and elbow pasta as others have said. This also makes wonderful leftovers!
