Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
Very good! A nice way to get beans into your diet. We eat very little meat so we try and fit in other proteins as much as we can - this was a nice change from soup!

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
A little bland but basically a good receipe. Next time I will jazz it up with some spices, etc. Nice receipe to have on hand for quick suppers.

Bacon Pie

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
This is a very good, easy and quick receipe. I used turkey bacon, assembled it the night before and baked it in the am for brunch. It puffed up and browned nicely and was gobbled up!!

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
Oh my goodness . . .this dessert is so good. It was easy to assemble, looked so pretty in the trifle bowl and tasted wonderful. I baked the brownies the day before because I had time, then completed the pudding work and assembly the next day. Quick - tasty, what more could you want!!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
I made this for a potluck and it didn't take long for the dish to be emptied completely! It takes several bowls to get all the layers assembled but the end result is worth the dirty dishes! I will make this often.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
Oh my goodness, this pie is sooo good. I was doubtful about it when I poured it into the crusts and put it in the freezer. I was afraid of what the frozen texture would be but it comes out creamy and melts in your mouth. My kids and grandkis ate it up. I froze some peanut butter cups and crushed them up to sprinkle on top. It looked very pretty and tasted oh so good.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
I made these for Easter go to with Glazed Ham from this site. I have one 9 year old son and two grandkids, 10 and 8, and the adults were lucky to get any of this dish because the kids snarfed it up! There were NO leftovers and they asked me to make them again the next day! That's the ultimate compliment in my house - I'll keep this one handy for sure.

Pecan Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
When I made this I left out the nuts because it was for a large dinner and some people don't like nuts - it still turned out wonderful. It has a great texture and taste. The glaze was a little runny so next time I might try adapting that but this is definately a keeper.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2007
I made 6 9x13 pans of this for a dinner of about 30 people. I got so many compliments! It was easy to assemble and with the basic ingredients, it appealed to everyone. I did substitute ground turkey for the beef since we don't eat red meat but it did not affect the taste - obviously because no one else knew about the switch!! I'll make this for my family next time it's lasagna night!!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Wonderful!!! The only thing I changed was to make and use my own tortillas - they wer thicker than store bought which just make this pie better! I will make this often - my family loves Mexican food.

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

This is an easy receipe which yields wonderful tortillas. I grew up in New Mexico and these tasted just like the tortillas I used to eat at my friends house! I will make these often.

Party Punch IX

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
This punch was so easy to make. I mixed up the ingredients to be frozen the day before. About 15 minutes before party time, I put it in a punch bowl, chopped it into chunks, poured in the ginger ale and presto, great punch. The frozen mixture continues to break apart and keeps the punch icy. Everyone loved this. I will keep this receipe handy!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
I have used this glaze several times and it always comes out nice. I heat it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, stir, and then 10 more seconds. It is not as thin as some glazes and does not set up hard but holds onto the cake and is very very tasty!!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
This salsa was wonderful. Made it for a girl's only party and everyone loved it. I used frozen raspberries, thawed and drained. It did get quite runny after sitting for a while in the fridge. It would be good over pound cake or ice cream too!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
My 8 year old and I had so much fun decorating the cookies we made from this receipe. The dough was really nice and easy to work with. The cooking time was just right. The cookies stayed soft, which we love. The flavor was just what you would expect from a sugar cookie, sweet but not flourey. I'll keep this one and use it for many holidays when I need rolled, cut cookies.

I love this receipe. It's simple and it tastes wonderful. I left out the salt as suggested and it was just right. I am always looking for new ways to use green bell peppers since I always seem to have them in my fridge - I will use this receipe often.

Fresh Peach Cobbler I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
This was a really good cobbler receipe. It was quick to make and didn't take many ingredients, which is my favorite kind of receipe. It had good flavor and the topping was not dry or doughey. A little ice cream on top made it the perfect dessert.
