Potato Rosemary Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
I am not a fan of rosemary, so I subber a heaping teaspoon of garlic salt and omitted the salt called for. I have not had much success with making breads before, but this was fun. Even my two year old loved them. I followed GRANNYLOOHOO's suggestions, but used my kitchenaid for the first kneading. Brushed with melted butter and they were delicious! Awesome recipe, will be using again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
Super easy to follow recipe, even the frosting, which I had to alter a bit because I had no honey and needed more moisture, so I used non-fat milk, and it became a silky smooth frosting, I didn't use the whole cup of conf. sugar, just eyeballed when it seemed to be the right consistency. Overall good turnout, who doesn't love a chewy brownie?

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
Super cookie!! I must admit, I am eight and a half months pregnant, so I might be a bit biased, but I had a craving for choc. choc. chip cookies and this recipe was too simple to pass up, and used cocoa powder instead of baking chocolate, which meant no running to the store. I did have hubby stir it for me as it was a very thick dough, but it made wonderful cookies that were even better cold than fresh out of the oven. Loved them! Thanks.

Empanadas

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
The dough was very hard to work with, and the filling was okay, but I'll try a different recipe next time.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
Who wouldn't love this? I've made it several times and everyone who tries it begs for the recipe. Try it with the Garlic Cheese Flatbread from this site and it's a hit. Also good with plain tortilla chips, but do try the flatbread, it's perfect together.

Soft Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
the dough tasted good but it didn't stiffen enough for me to roll it out, and i even popped it into the freezer after the first hour of chilling, because i wanted to make them for my husband. even after over half an hour in the freezer it was too sticky and soft to cut into shapes, i've pressed it into a cake pan and am going to attempt a bar cookie out of it. we'll see how it goes

Peanut Crunch Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
I haven't even tasted the finished product yet, but I can tell this is going to be something I make again, maybe with some variations to the toppings. My husband loves peanut butter, and he licked the beaters and the bowl, and can't wait for it to get out of the oven because it smells so good. Can't wait to taste it! Update: this was a huge hit!!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
These were great. My husband made the dough and then I scooped and baked them because the football game had started... He had no problem leaving the game to try one though, and he came back for more. Just the right amount of chocolate chips, and the dough itself isn't too sweet, just right. Maybe I scooped a little bigger than I should have, but I cooked them for about 2 extra minutes to get them nice and brown on the bottoms. The tops do not brown like I normally see, but they were cooked perfectly in 11-12 minutes.

Moist and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
My husband loves soft peanut butter cookies, and my old recipe was too crispy for him. This one was perfect, with some changes. I used equal parts of the sugar and brown sugar because I was almost out of brown sugar, and I used more peanut butter. I still found it lacking in the flavor department, so I added a teaspoon of vanilla. I also followed someone elses tip and lowered the baking temp to 350 and went about eleven minutes.

Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
The flavor was a little off from a traditional choc. chip cookie, and the dough seemed thin, and after I got them out of the oven, they had spread quite a bit and were almost stuck to the pan. Over all an easy cookie to make, but I'll keep looking for the right one for me.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
I have been wanting to try this recipe for a while, and finally got around to it tonight. It was exactly what I expected it to be: not a restaurant grade, but good enough for us. It was thinner than I would have liked, but still stuck to the pasta really well, I tossed the pasta with some of the sauce, then served it up onto plates and added a bit more for good measure. My boyfriend also liked dipping our homemade breadsticks in the extra. I'll try other recipes, but keep this in my collection.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
This recipe was good, but bland. We doubled the sugar and added cinnamon and cocolate chips, and still felt they were lacking in the flavor dept. The cure, melted butter mixed with brown sugar, it made a nice dipping sauce for these waffles.

Garlic Cheese Flatbread

Loved it, easy to make and my first try at making any homemade bread. We had it with spinach dip and it was perfect, I used a pizza cutter to cut it into strips for dipping!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
YUM!!! We always have this for an appetizer when we go out to eat, so I decided to try and make it at home. It was a hit, we both loved it. The only change I made was putting the artichokes in the food processor for a creamier dip, I served it with a garlic flat bread recipe also from this site and it was a perfect match, can't wait to make this dish for company.

Sticky Monkey Brains

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
My fiance loves cinnamon rolls, but store bought versions tend to be dry. He helped me make this recipe, and we thought it was wonderful. I don't have a bundt pan, so I used a bread pan, which left me with some uncooked dough pieces, but with a few alterations, that can easily be remedied. Definitely something we'll have again.
