Fudge Pops

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I've made several times, always using 2% milk. Half the recipe makes exactly 5 Tovolo Star pops. This recipe is a keeper!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Delicious! Soaked toothpicks in water, as another person suggested. Saved on dishes by dumping grease, wiping out with paper towel, then returning wraps/sauce to same dish for second baking.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
I'll never buy a packet of taco seasoning again! I usually substitute a little cayenne or chipotle powder for the flakes and cut back on the salt a bit.

Easy Sausage Strata

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
I have been making this recipe for years, and it's always gobbled up! I double all ingredients EXCEPT sausage and salt for a 9x13 disposable foil pan and bake about 1.5 hours at 325.

Ed Zieba's Famous Family Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This recipe has become a standby for me! The key is using lots of seasoned salt. I use boneless chops and bake for 1 hour at 400, then 1 hour at 300--so tender you don't need a knife! Try replacing the water with dry white wine. I've even forgotten the liquid, and they still turned out great. I always serve with mashed potatoes.

Pizza Dough III

This pizza dough is a great basic recipe. I will use it again and again. I did reduce the liquid slightly, as some others have recommended.

Bran Flax Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
I substitute whole wheat pastry flour for all-purpose and use whatever dried fruits/nuts I have on hand. My coworkers gobble these up. They are healthy and delicious! I think you could successfully leave out the oil and nuts to reduce the fat...but nuts are good fats, so I leave them in.

Baked Ziti I

Made this for an Italian party I threw, and everyone loved it! I used Italian turkey sausage instead of ground beef and penne pasta. Will definitely make again!

Monster Cookies I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
I have been using this recipe for 9 years!! I make these minor changes: margarine instead of butter, 4 cups quick oats/5 cups rolled oats, and a bag of M&Ms. Because it's such a huge batch, I make them only once a year--for my service anniversary at work. People anticipate them and they are gone in a flash! EVERYONE LOVES THEM!!

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
I consider myself a pretty good cook and baker, but I've never tried making tiramisu before. This recipe was incredibly easy and absolutely delicious. I made this recipe two different ways for a big Italian-themed party (one in a springform pan and the other as a trifle). All of it was gobbled up!

Chicken Tortilla Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
I only had 3 chicken breasts on hand and that worked out just fine. I also scaled the cayenne back to 1/4 teaspoon. (You can always add more, but you can't take it out!) It was nice and spicy but not too hot. I will make this again and again!
