Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
You can definitely taste the basil in this soup, so if you love basil you will like this soup. I served it with sliced baguettes topped with cheese and broiled. The soup was very rich. I think it was a little too overwhelming for me, but my husband really loved it. But he likes basil more than I do too.

Chicken Encilantrada

This is perfect just the way it is! I LOVE cilantro and so I love that is what you taste in this dish. I wouldn't change a thing. I will make this again and again.

Pasta with Broccoli and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
I gave this recipe 4 stars because it is fairly easy to prepare and it tastes pretty good. There is nothing super special about it, but I will probably make it again as it does add variety. I followed the recipe pretty exact but I think next time I will use less noodles or add more broccoli.

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
This is a refreshing pasta that is super quick and easy to make. I used plain tomatoes and added my own seasoning (garlic, onion, Italian). Other than that I followed the recipe. I'll be making this again.

Pantry Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This recipe is an easy, hearty meal. I pretty much followed the recipe, except I didn't add carrots (because I didn't have any) and I used sharp cheddar cheese. I also sauteed the mushrooms when I was cooking the meat. I served it with biscuits and they were a nice compliment. If you get to the end and think it is a little bland try adding hot sauce or terriyaki sauce, my husband enjoyed both of those additions (sepeartly). I will make this again if I get in a pinch.

Quick and Easy Chicken Spaghetti

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2007
My husband loved this recipe and gave it 5 stars, however, it didn't match my tastes as much so I am giving it 4 stars. I will probably make it again because it is easy and fast. The only thing I changed was I sauted fresh mushrooms when I was cooking the chicken. Thanks for the recipe, it will be good on the days when I am pressed for time.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This dish is fast and easy to make and it tastes delicious. I used less chicken breasts but I made the same amount of sauce so I would have extra to put over the rice I served with it. I was suprised by how sweet it was, and I think I might add some brown sugar to the sauce the next time I make this. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
Mmmmmm!! This chicken is good! My husband was lickin' his plate! This is one of our new favorites. I can't wait to make it again (no leftovers). I used slightly less butter. Try it, you'll love it.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
These were good, but nothing to shout about. I pretty much followed the recipe, except I browned mine using a George Foreman grill to drain the grease. I also used less ketchup in the sauce. My husband liked them more than me so I think next time I make them I will make the ones for me thinner because I am not huge on ground beef. It's a good recipe - worth trying.

Country Style Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2007
After I had made the sauce for this recipe I realized it would be no where near enough to cover the chicken and have extra sauce. My husband loves food that is extra saucey and I was afraid this would just turn out to be dry. I didn't want to add more ketchup because of the other reviwers warnings, so I added tomatoe sauce and lots of extra brown sugar. It turned out great, though I am sure was nothing like what it was supposed to be. I am only giving it two stars because I think the original recipe would result in dry, ketuchpy chicken.

Mansaka

This is a very good dish with strong, interesting flavors that we really enjoyed. I pretty much followed the recipe except for I substituted monterary pepper jack cheese for swiss and I used fresh mushrooms. It's pretty easy to make too, so that's always a bonus.

Quick Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
This is a great, easy recipe that is quick for those nights when you just don't have a lot of time. It's not really anything special but it tastes pretty good and it gets extra points for being fast. I added sauteed onions and mushrooms, though I am not sure it really changed much, maybe next time I'll just keep those on the side.

Meat Loaf Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
I was pleasantly suprised with this recipe, it was so good. I took the advice of other revewiers and added extra ketchup and worchestshire sauce. I also added seasonings to the meat when I cooked it. The flavor of the meat was just perfect. I will be making this again. Thanks!!

Pork and Green Chile Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
This recipe is just bursting with flavor, and it is so easy to make. I did make a few changes, I used chicken instead of pork, I sauteed half an onion with the chicken, and I pre-cooked regular brown rice instead of instant. If you liked this recipe I suggest you try "Beans and Rice" from this website (don't let the name fool you, it really isn't like rice and beans at all).

Cheapskate Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2006
I have to admit, this recipe was a little dissapointing after all the great reviews I read. It wasn't horrible, but I don't think I'll be making it again. Thanks to the reviewer who suggested adding cheese, it made a world of difference.

American Chop Suey II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
Okay, this just wasn't very good. It was dry and bland. I even added extra seasonings and fresh garlic but unfortunatly it smelled better than it tasted. I think it might be better if I added more tomato soup or sauce or something.

Macaroni And Cheese I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
This recipe is okay, but in my opinion, it's not worth it. It came out really dry and I didn't like it at all. But my husband ate it after he added a can of tomato sauce to his portion.
