Kale with Pine Nuts and Shredded Parmesan

I really enjoyed this. My husband and kids weren't thrilled with it but I'm not really counting their opinion on this one. I did use almonds instead of pine nuts.

Healthier Simple White Cake

Coffee Slush

Tasty. Very easy to make. I cut the recipe down for just me and hubby. And instead of sugar I used chocolate syrup. Also used more coffee than called for. I wanted a stronger coffee flavor.

Mommy's Banana Suzy Q's

Oh so good. I used a mini loaf pan for 1/2 the recipe and made cupcakes with the rest of the batter. Baked them both for 16 minutes. The cake is really tasty. I wasn't thrilled with the frosting at first it was a little grainy and not very sweet. I added about 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2T cream. Could be that it was grainy because I was out of shortening so I used all butter. Not sure if that was why it was grainy or not. Family loved these.

Really good. My son seen me dumping the soda in the crockpot over the smokies and he was convinced that I had just ruined them. Silly boy. These didn't last long at all. And my son loved them.

Honey Mustard Blend

I halved the recipe for my family. I wasn't really happy with this following the honey to mustard amounts at first. All I really tasted was the honey. So I kept adding mustard until it tasted better I think I ended up using about the same amount of mustard. Also added a T of spicy brown mustard and a dash of hot sauce. I used a hot and spicy bbq sauce. It was really good and I served this with Jan's Pretzel Dogs (AR) which was a fabulous combo.

Ketchup Dip

We thought this was okay. Needs a little bit of a kick or something. All I really tasted was onion. I would add some hot sauce to it next time.

Spicy Kielbasa Dip

Fabulous Dip! The family really enjoyed this. Only thing I changed was that I decreased the Italian Cheese blend to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup of Habanero Jack because my boys were dying to try that cheese :)

Mallow Sauce

I used OJ instead of Peach Schnapps so the kids could eat this. After I mixed this together I thought that it was a little too sweet and thick so I added extra OJ and about 1/2 cup of Plain yogurt to it. It was still very sweet but the yogurt toned the sweetness down a little. Yummy.

Grands!® Ham and Cheese Melts

Great quick and easy recipe for lunch or dinner. The kids loved them. I would definitely play with the cheese next time I made this. Cheddar would be lovely. When making these I put the biscuit into a ziploc bag and flattened them out, it's easier and quicker then doing it with your hands.

I made this for the kids after school snack. They loved them. I put the biscuit into a ziploc bag and flattened them out that way, it made it easier to shape them that way.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Yummy! I doubled the recipe and ended up with enough filling for 4 pies! I put the leftover filling in the freezer for a quick meal one night. I added some frozen peas and green beans. Also I used turkey stock, and threw in my leftover gravy from Christmas dinner, so reduced the flour a little bit. Really yummy. Kids loved it and so did my Pot Pie hating hubby :)

Sweet and Salty Toll House® Cookies

I don't really know what to say about these. Odd little cookie. I think they have to much going on in them. I thought that the chips would be strange in the cookies but those were ok, the pretzels threw me off. I think these would be better with just peanuts added in. Everyone here thought they were okay but they wouldn't want them again.

Butterscotch Pudding I

Oh my this is soooo good. I only had light brown sugar so that is what I used. Next time I make it I'm going to try and remember to buy dark brown sugar. The flavor is fabulous and my family flipped over this pudding. Easy to make. I doubled the recipe and used 5 T of cornstarch. Set up perfectly, it wasn't to thick and it wasn't to runny. Yummy. Thanks!

Luscious Eggnog

This was pretty good. I thought that it could have had some more spices in it, cinnamon and maybe some cloves, but other than that it was a hit. I left out the rum, which could be why I wanted more spices, since I was serving this to kids. I will make this again but next time I'm going to add a cinnamon stick and some whole cloves to the custard mix while I cook it. I left out the food coloring as I didn't think it needed it. Made the custard the day before and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Thanks!

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

Delicious. I got two pies out of the one recipe. I was happy that this didn't take evaporated milk because I was out and didn't want to make a trip out to the store. I added extra spices because we like our pumpkin pie a little spicy. Served with some homemade whipped cream. Yum!

Perfect Cherry Pie

I didn't make the crust just the filling. My son loves cherry pie but I'm not a fan so I don't ever make it. I thought I would give this a try for him for Christmas. Glad I did because it was very good. Easy to make. I only could find 14.5 oz cans of cherries so that is what I used. Also subbed cornstarch for the potato starch. I also used a deep dish pie crust and almost couldn't fit all the cherries into it. The filling overflowed a little bit but not to much. Great pie!

Caramel Apple Pie

Fabulous pie. I used apple pie spice instead of pumpkin spice and used about 6 T of caramel sauce. I should have used more with the amount of apple I ended up with. But it was still great. I used a top pie crust instead of the crumb topping, personal preference. Will make this again.

Cranberry-Pineapple Sauce

Delicious. I loved the addition of pineapple. I did cut the amount of pineapple because I only had an 8 oz can of chunks, I put the pineapple chunks into the food processor and pulsed it a few times since I didn't have the crushed. Also I didn't measure the walnuts out but I used about 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Very tasty!
