Cape Breton Blueberry Grunt

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This was good. I did think the topping could use a little more flavor. Maybe some vanilla. Thanks.

EZ Kid's Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
I thought this was a good base recipe, The dressing was a little thin so I added a little more of the salad dressing. I did use cooked potatoes instead of canned. Since we like a little more veggies in our potato salad I added celery, red onion, olives, cucumbers and some shredded carrots.

Belle's Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2011
Very nice bun. I did proof the yeast in the liquid before I added the dry ingredients but that is the only thing I did different. They held up to sloppy joes so I'm very happy. I'll be making these again. Thanks!

Pecan Surprise Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
Yummy! This was a very good pie, nice change from the normal pecan pie. And it was really easy to make. I did have to change it up just a bit. I only had about 1/3 cup of light corn syrup so I used that and the rest dark corn syrup. Also left out the cloves. My family really loved this. Thanks!

Condiment Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I made these for the Recipe Group recipe. We really enjoyed these. I did make some changes though. I used about a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne since I'm not a fan of really hot foods. It gave it a nice subtle kick. My pork chops were still partially frozen when I started the recipe so I covered them then baked for 15 minutes, uncovered and baked another 15 minutes, then finished them off on the stove. I would not recommend cooking your chops for 50 minutes. The sauce was very nice and created a nice glaze on the chops. Thanks for the recipe.

Passover Chocolate Chip Meringues

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
We loved these. I've never made meringues before so I wasn't sure what to expect. These were like sugary goodness with pops of chocolate, that kind of melted in your mouth. Whats not to like in that? After reading the reviews I was concerned with the baking process so I changed it a bit. I baked them for 25 minutes at 300 they came out lightly brown and crisp. I got about 24 meringues out of this recipe. Thanks for the recipe I will make these again.

S.O.P.P.

We loved this recipe. It was a great quick and easy busy night meal, and when the food stocks get a little low. I did add some minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Thanks!

French Apple Cream Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I really wanted to like this pie. I hate leaving bad reviews but no one finished their piece. I think it would be much better with homemade apple filling. Didn't seem to be enough of the cream part of the pie to go around. It just all had a weird texture and the flavor was just off. Which could have been the apple filling I used. Sorry.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
This was delicious! I did change it up and followed a few of the recommendations of BEEZLYS, I used yellow onions, cornstarch instead of flour, and added Worcestershire sauce. Also I used fresh mushrooms since I had some that needed to be used. Thanks for the recipe.

Creamy Potato Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
We really enjoyed this dish. I did add garlic to the Alfredo sauce, I used leftover ham from earlier this week, and I had smoked Swiss cheese that I used instead of regular Swiss. Definitely will be making this again. Thanks for the recipe.

Hot Mint Malt

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This was okay with some extras. I used 6 1.4 oz patties and when I tasted it there wasn't much flavor, luckily I was able to raid the kids Christmas candy and found some of the small patties. I added 5 of the York .6 oz snowflakes to it. Then it tasted pretty good. Not sure I'll make it again but it was worth trying. Just add in a couple extra patties. Thanks!

Cinnamon Pumpkin Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Yum! Very good. I did change it just a tad. I used 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 AP flour since I was low and I also cut out the wheat germ and added oats that I ran through the food processor, also I used 2 whole eggs. Served with some fried apples that I made.

Yum. These were really easy to make and they taste amazing. I've never been successful at making meatballs before and this recipe worked out great for me. I used my small scoop to portion them out, made it really easy. Thanks for the recipe I will be using this again!

Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic

Delicious! We enjoyed this very much. I had a head of cabbage I needed to use and this recipe sounded simple and quick, which I was also looking for. My family enjoyed it as well. I didn't measure the salt just added it slowly and tasted often. Thanks!

French Breakfast Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
My son made these for his history class. They were very easy and tasted great. We did use mini muffin pans and skipped dipping them in butter. The cinnamon sugar stuck just fine without it. Thanks for the recipe.
