Single Cup Hot Buttered Rum

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Mmmmm This is tasty. I've been wanting to try Hot buttered Rum but never really got around to it. Not sure if I used the right rum or not, I just used what I had on hand. Its really yummy, sipping it right now. Couldn't find creme brulee ice cream :( so I used French vanilla. Thanks Witchywoman!

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
This was really good. I went easy on the lemon juice, just added it slowly. Gave it a bit of brightness but I didn't taste the lemon. Added some diced celery, red onion and some dill. Great recipe thanks!

Allie's Better than Store Bought ~ Homemade Bacon Bits

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2012
Perfect! I usually pan fry my bacon bits but today I was running short on time and seen this posted on the Buzz. I've never thought of doing the bacon bits in the oven! Instead of using a food processor I cooled the crispy bacon put it in a ziploc and handed it to the kids to crumble :) And they really are a million times better than store bought! Thanks AllieGeekPi!

Teriyaki Turkey Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
I only made the meatballs. I needed them for another recipe. They came out really good. I ran out of soy sauce so I used a squirt of hoisin sauce and a bit of Teriyaki Marinade. Great flavor!

Basmati and Snow Pea Stir Fry with Teriyaki Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
This is really good! I added a 16 oz bag of frozen Sugar Snap Pea stir fry in stead of messing with all the veggies. Worked great. I did make extra sauce. I will make this again!

Grilled Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage with Tomato Cream Sauce Over Linguine

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
This was very good. It did need a little bit of salt. Also thought the sauce was to thin so I under cooked my pasta and finished it in the sauce. I would make this again but I would drain the tomatoes.

Not sure what went wrong but we didn't like this. I usually enjoy squash casserole so it probably was something I did. Not sure though.

Sarah's Spinach Side Dish

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I don't usually stray from the way I do spinach since my son doesn't like to much done with it. But I wanted to try this so I took a chance. I thought it was really good. My son poked at it and whined about why I was messing with his spinach, finally convinced him to try it and he loved it. He ended up eating 3 servings and scraped the bowl of the leftovers :) Love when that happens. Good thing I doubled the recipe! Will definitely be making this again.

Ragin' Cajun Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
Yum! This was fabulous. Loved all the veggies and it smelled so good while cooking. I did have to change the recipe just a bit. I left out the shrimp due to allergies, I know its a big part of the recipe but I really wanted to try it anyway. So I added a bit more chicken and sausage to make up for the shrimp. I cooked the chicken in a bit of olive oil and seasoned with the Cajun spice. I finished the pasta in the sauce so I had no problem with it being to thin. Great recipe. I will definitely be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Butterhorns

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
Very good. I used 2 1/4 teaspoons of regular yeast instead of fresh yeast. Lightly sweet buttery rolls. I love that it is so easy and quick to put together. I still have enough for one more batch in the fridge. And the kids had a blast rolling them into horns. Thanks!

Fantastic recipe! I made these for hubby's birthday breakfast. He loved them. Great flavor and very easy to put together. Served these with fried eggs. Yummy! I put the ham in a food processor because I was being lazy and didn't want to do it by hand. Great way to use leftover ham and taters. Thanks for the recipe Avon :)

St. Patrick's Chocolate & Mint Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2012
My daughter who loves all things mint-y absolutely loved these. I did change the recipe a bit. Apparently after Christmas my small town doesn't carry the dark chocolate and mint chips! So I had to use Andes pieces or something like that. Also instead of the pre-made cream cheese frosting I made my own using Cream Cheese Frosting II from AR. Then just measured out 16 oz. It worked fabulously. Lots of steps in the recipe but it goes quickly. Mine didn't crack or fall at all, I did have my cream cheese at room temp so maybe that helped. They actually came out very nice. But when I was putting them in the fridge I dropped them right onto the floor!!! Lucky for me I had them covered so at least they could still be eaten they were just really ugly after that :( But tasty :)
