Invading Seattle!

A few months ago when I got an email being invited to the Allrecipes 15th Anniversary I was so excited! To get the chance to visit in person was such an exciting idea and something I had never considered that I might be able to do. I'm so grateful that I was able to go and meet all the wonderful people at Allrecipes, and get to meet other Allstars.

I had so much fun from the minute I landed in Seattle until the minute I had to leave. It's amazing how fast time flies by when you are having fun. Seemed like it had just started and then I was going home.

I loved that I could start talking to any of the great ladies I met and instantly feel a connection with them.  There was never a dull moment.

So thank you for giving me the opportunity to celebrate 15 years with you! I made some great friends and made memories that will last a lifetime.

When I seen the building and walked into the Allrecipes offices I felt like a little kid in a candy store!

Some of the things I seen at Pike Place Market. I wish I had something like this at home! The No Grazing sign on the cherries made me oh so sad.

Just a sampling of the fabulous food I got to eat in Seattle.

At the parties! The drink that came out of the ice sculpture was oh so very delicious. Dangerously so!

Some other pics of things I saw.

Rae-what a wonderful opportunity you had in Seattle. The market looks like a wonderful place to get fresh produce. AR put the red carpet out for all the Ambassadors. I love the photos. What is your secret for incorporating multiple photos in a blog?

About Me
I am a stay at home mom with three beautiful kids. I love cooking and I am always looking for something new to cook for my family. My husband was thrilled when I found this website cause I have a tendancy to buy any cookbook I see!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons because I can always have something in the oven. I also love crockpot dinners as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday cooking is the best. I love cooking the dessert my grandmother taught me how to make when I turned 14. Every year at Christmas and Thanksgiving I can hear her telling me what to do and how to do it, I can also feel her smack when I stirred the wrong way! Hehe.
My cooking triumphs
I have always been afraid of frying foods after a couple disastrous attempts at it when I was younger, my fingers always seemed to go into the oil, I have finally started trying frying foods. I am just a lot more cautious. Now I am trying to figure out muffins and pies, and different types of deserts. I think I have finally figured out cheesecake (yay!me).
My cooking tragedies
One Thanksgiving I was making Ham in the Slow Cooker. About an hour before we were supposed to eat my son asks "Mom did you want the Crockpot plugged in?" Whoops! We had a bunch of yummy sides though :) Now every time I make something in the slow cooker my family asks if I plugged it in :)
