My favorite family cooking traditions
I prefer mederiterian style fresh vegetables & lean meats. skewered meats & batsami rice are a favorite. Frequently shop at local mid eastern market for thier style of foods, cheeses, & herbs.
My cooking triumphs
We allways try new recipies, & look forward to new untried foods from different countries. Variety is the spice of life.
My cooking tragedies
I tend to never measure ingredients Which does become disasterous when attempting some baking recipies.

Cali's Sinful Creme Brulee
I have a pomegranate tree, full of Fruit. I juiced up 1 quart of juice, added a 1/2 cup of sugar, & brought it to a boil & cooked it down into a syrup. Then I drizzled this syrup over the above recipe before serving.Still have lots of syrup remaining for pancakes & waffles.

Slow Cook Thai Chicken
Being married to a Thai, her dislike of a 5 hour slow cooker was apparent at the start But I made it anyway. Used the 14 oz of chicken broth, increased the fresh lime juice, & barely detected the peanut flavor.Added a dollop of sour cream day after & enjoyed it for lunch.May try adding some white wine next time. Not authentic Thai anyway so modify away.
