Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I used the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving 2008. Added soy sauce, chicken concentrate (to make broth), used green peppers instead of celery, added salt & pepper, dash cumin and oregano and it was a total hit! Everybody loved it.

Easy Minute Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I too used the dry onion soup mix with one cup of water however instead of putting it in the oven (I'm trying not to overheat the house in the summer), I simmered it on low on the cooktop for 45 minutes and it was very, very good. My family loved it. Will definately do it again.

Tex-Mex Pork

My family liked this but it needed salt. I omitted the chili peppers since we don't like food that spicy. Overall, it was good and I'll probably make again.

Sweet and Sour Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
My family gave this one a 10. Everyone loved it. I didn't have Sweet & Sour sauce as the recipe called for and I substitued 1/3 cup brown sugar,1/3 cup rice vinegar and 1/3 cup ketchup and it worked great. Delicious and fairly fast to make.

Zippy Shepherd's Pie

This was pretty good. Cut back a bit on the curry (1/2 tsp.) since my family is not crazy about it. It gave it enough of a kick without it being overpowering. Will definitely do again.

Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This is my son's favorite cake! I made this as a birthday cake for him and did a couple of things that made it even better. First I made it in the 9X13 pan and after it cooled, I carefully sliced into two layers. Poured the chocolate glaze on one layer and put the top on. Then, like someone else suggested, I piped cream cheese frosting all around the edge and poured another can of cherries in the center. It was awesome!

Ginger Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
My family and I really loved the way this recipe came out. I was short on time so after browning the steak strips and the tomato, I dumped everything into my pressure cooker and cooked it for 15 minutes and it came out really, really tender. Next time I will add even more ginger and maybe a touch of hot sauce. I think the name is not quiet accurate, though. It's more like a ginger beef stew.

Meatball Sub Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
I did this tonight and we all loved it! And I didn't even have any onions! I didn't want to serve it on sub bread so I made some buttered noodles and served them over that. I'm going to double the sauce next time since it was delicious and we wanted more:)

Dilled Ham on Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
My family loved this dish! It was a spur of the moment dinner entree and I had to substitute the cream of chix soup with cream of mushrooms and canned mushrooms instead of fresh, and I omitted the sour cream. It was still delicious! I'll definately make this again. Maria
