Apple Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Just different enough to be special--followed the directions and other advice and added lemon juice to the apples before I added them to the salad to prevent browning. Omitted green onions because we didn't have any--still fabulous. Thanks!

Peach Cobbler

YUM. Also great with 1 can of cherry pie filling instead of the peaches. I added 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and it was just *perfect*. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
We call these Dinner Pancakes at our house because they're so delicious and super fluffy. I took other's advice and left out the butter, added 1 tsp vanilla, sifted the flour, and whisked the eggs. A double batch serves our family of 5 for dinner. Served with homemade peach syrup and fresh peach slices and it's amazing. Thank you for the recipe!!

Cranberry Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Delicious--had a taste almost more like ribs. I used boneless pork chops, left out the sugar as others suggested, and used orange juice (it's what I had). Turned out really yummy. Thanks!

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
Absolutely and in every way fantastic. We halfed the recipe and then stirred in 1/2 c. shredded coconut into one side of the pan and added chocolate chips when it was cool. The other side, I added extra cinnamon and added craisins when it was done. We'll be making this often--thanks!

Rice & Beans (Haitian Style)

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
Good HEAVENS, this was good. I used 16 ounces of undrained red kidney beans, an onion instead of a shallot, and left out the chile pepper. Went a tiny bit scant on the Adobo and cloves, just to see for the first time, and it was perfectly spiced. Will definitely make it according to directions, but just wanted to use what I had on hand. Our whole family LOVED this--it's going in the family recipe box. Thanks!!

Excellent! I used gluten free penne pasta instead of macaroni, and this was a *great* gluten free soup. Thanks for sharing!

Wow--great pizza crust recipe. I added fresh oregano and basil to the crust with some garlic powder and it was amazing. I'll never waste time waiting for pizza crust to rise again. Thanks!

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
WOW. This pie was amazing. The only thing we changed was to add only 1/2 cup of sugar rather than 3/4, and I added a little more cinnamon to suit our tastes. Magnificent, melt in your mouth pie. Thank you for the recipe!!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Really, really delicious. The only thing I changed was that I cooked it in the slow cooker on low, rather than high, for 5 hours and they came out perfectly. Thanks for the delicious recipe!!

Frozen Sherbet Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I remember that my grandma used to make this, and I went searching for a similar recipe. This was perfect! I prefer raspberry sherbet (Blue Bunny makes the best), but pineapple is delicious, as well. Thank you!!

Cube Steak Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
I made this for a quick Sunday meal and it was eaten, without ANY coaxing, but our 4 year old and 2 year old. That equals five stars. Substituted bread crumbs for crackers, but that was the only change. Thanks for a new recipe for our family file!

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
I used 2 cans of pie cherry filling in this one, as well as a yellow cake mix. Took other's suggestions to add oats and 2 tsp. lemon juice to the crumble topping. If it's too sweet for you, serve with vanilla ice cream. Thank you for the great recipe!!!!

Quick Quiche

Good heavens this was good. I made it for a weeknight dinner and used turkey bacon. Used the suggestions to mix the flour, eggs, milk, and onion in the blender and I added a dash of worchestershire sauce. It was delicious and I will *definitely* be making this one again.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This recipe is great because it's *so* easy, and turns out delicious. We just use a precooked, boneless ham in the slow cooker and I've used a few whole cloves or some pineapple slices if I want to alter the flavor a little bit. This one's going in the family archive. Thanks!

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

This recipe is astonishingly good--I've converted asparagus haters with it. Added a little more soy, because I like the taste, but followed the directions perfectly otherwise. Thanks for the recipe!
