About this Cook
I am married with 2 grown boys. I live in sierra mountains. No fast food restaurants up here. My boys have learned to eat fresh and healthy. I am a wine conniseur so many dishes I cook will go well with a strong cabernet.
My cooking triumphs
Pie making. One year friends took us Apple picking. I was not a pie maker. I ended up with bushels of apples. Learning to make everything from traditional apple pie to creating my own sour cream blueberry/apple pie. I made about 20 pies and also had to learn how to freeze and then cook again. My friends now request me to make pies
My cooking tragedies
Pies again. During this learning attempt I made soupy blueberry/apple sour cream. This is before I perfected the recipe so no more soupy pies.

Marinated Tuna Steak
My family loved this. It was too cold to grill so I pan seared. I was not as pleased as they were but it was good, not great. I will make again this summer and try on the grill. Sometimes it is also just the fish you got that particular day. Well worth everyone giving a try.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin
This is wonderful if use a very good balsamic vinegar. One with a bit of sweetness. I also always add garlic but that is just by personal preference. It is very good and easy without.

Baked Salmon II
as is the recipe was not great and way to much oil so I can't give it 5 star, but by following another review and making again I found a 5 star favorite. 2 T. olive oil, 1 T. melted butter, 3/4 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp salt, 3 T lemon juice, 1 tsp dried parsley, dash of dill weed.
