Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
Super Yummy! Took suggestion of other reviewers and reduced sugar, used 4T corn starch instead of flour. Set up perfect, not runny at all. Used hand held rotary beaters while heating to keep it from clumping. Did not cook the pie, but did put meringue on top, and baked that after pie had been in the fridge overnight. Completely perfect. Thank you for a terrific recipe

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
This was good, but not stellar. I used it in a chili cook off at work, did not win but plenty of people ate it! Maybe too hot for the general public. I did like the depth of flavor but will keep searching for the "perfect" chili recipe.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
Outstanding! Taste and texture is amazing. Very clean flavors. Only change was I added an onion and more garlic, and used frozen spinach. Eating it now for the second day and boy does it hit the spot on a cold day. Thanks for a great recipe.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
My boyfriend requests this regularly .We love garlic and with the parm and panko it hits all the right notes. I regularly make adjustments to recipes but not this one. It is the best chicken breast recipe I've ever made. Thank you!!

Halibut Divine

Outstanding! I did as other suggested, and decreased the dry mustard. The only other change I made was to use panko rather than the fried onion rings, just because I discovered my last can had been used! My boyfriend is usually the one who cooks fish for us, and he raved about this dish. Thank you!

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Outstanding! First time trying something like this and it was flawless. I did add double the cinnamon, and used 1/4 cup honey and 1/4 cup sugar to add a little more depth of flavor. Custard like middle, crispy outside. Can hardly wait to make it again!

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
FALULOUS!!! Took others suggestions and used 3/4 cup apple cider in place of water; omited sugar, and added 1 cup oatmeal to cake mix topping. The whole pan is gone and my family is clammering for more. Brother-in-law got jiffy cake mix by mistake, and I used 2 boxes to great success. Will make again and again, and everyone asked for the recipe.

Sausage & White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
I absolutely love this! Creamy base acheived without a flour roux or added dairy by mashing the beans. I blended 2 cans in the blender, the other I left whole. A good chicken stock makes all the difference. This is my new all time favorite. Thanks for sharing!

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
I made cupcakes, and they turned out great, at least according to my co-workers. Moist with good chocolate flavor. I did double the vanilla and increase dutch coco to 2 & 1/2 tablespoons, as suggested by other reviewers. I also undercooked them a bit. The red food coloring only came in gel form at my grocery, and once I got it home, the tube only measured out to 1&1/2 tbls! But it was plenty to make the cake red, thank goodness! A great novelity dessert.

Perfect Pressure Cooker Pot Roast

The meat turned out great, I hated the seasonings. The prepackaged seasonings gave the meat a muddled muted taste.

Lemon Meringue Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
Great flavor. Using anothers review, used brown sugar when I ran out of white. This turned the filling brown--not very attractive. Used half the sugar, and the flavor was great. Meringue did not seal and then read later that the filling needs to be hot. This is important! Overall, great flavor.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
I used premade meatballs, dumped them in the crockpot frozen with the sauce and they cooked up just fine in the time allotted. Could not have been easier. I thought a bit bland, but very popular at the adult birthday party!

Green Chile Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I love this! I used chicken breasts because they were on sale, and used the pressure cooker. Substituted jalapenos because I shared it with a friend who just had a baby, and she is not fond of spicy foods. Next time I'll add the hotter peppers. Also, used corn starch rather than flour. Will make this again and again! Thanks for sharing it!

This is my new favorite thing to make & take! I use club soda instead of beer, and use the melted butter on top. So simple and wonderful. It is always appreciated.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2006
Absolutely fabulous! My 75 year old dad took it to his poker night and got rave reviews. I made the adjustments of adding coconut milk and coconut extract as suggested by others, perfect. The first time I tried the water bath method and it took forever! Next day I used direct heat, quicker and still tasted perfect.
