About this Cook
I love to try new recipes, much to my husband's chagrin. He says I never make chicken the same way twice. I am a former Pampered Chef Consultant and enjoyed trying all the new products and recipes. My kitchen is full of Pampered Chef.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking desserts and casseroles the best.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughter and I love to bake Christmas Cookies and my husband and son love to eat them :-).

Chocopeanutbanana Smoothie
I adapted this recipe to the one on the back of Carnation Instant Breakfast packets. 3/4 C. lowfat milk, ice cubes, carnation instant breakfast mix and frozen banana. Then I just add the peanut butter. I love it.

Kielbasa Alfredo
Looking for a simple meal tonight. I made this 2 ways. One for me and one for kids and hubby. To mine I sauteed smoked sausage in pepper, onions and garlic and then added sauce & macaroni rings (because that's the pasta I had). I thought it was very good. Kids and hubby liked theirs with just alfredo sauce, rings and sausage. i didn't use the whole jar of alfredo sauce. I just added it until I liked the consistency with the amount of noodles I had. I think it would have been too much if I used the whole jar.

Shanibars
This was a flop for me. I made this with Jiffy PB and sweetened coconut because that's what I had on hand. They never set up after I refrigerated them and they taste more like a rich PB goo. I used almost the whole box of chopped dates said 1 1/2 C. in box. Maybe using all the natural stuff would have been the better bet and not sweetened coconut.
