Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
My family really liked this and very easy. Most moist pork roast I've ever had. I used a frozen pork loin, as I needed it to be able to cook all day while at work as was afraid the chops would dry out. Seasoned it with old bay, garlic powder, pepper, and onion powder. Used 1cup chicken broth and a little cooking wine. Once done, I strained the juice and then added about 4oz sour cream, 1T flour and cooked in a pan. Awesome over potatoes.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This is a super easy recipe that tastes great. I do not like the taste of maple but decided to try this from all the great reviews. I used light maple syrup and followed the recipe with the exception of not adding the garlic salt and instead used lemon pepper. Baked in in the oven as the recipe states. Excellent, even the kids liked it. Not too sweet at all and no strong maple taste.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
We really like this but the kids aren't too crazy about the "sauce", so I always spread that on a little lighter (makes it a little healthier too)

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
My husband and I really liked this recipe, but I did add some balsamic vinegar to help the flavor. It is light and healthy, kind of like a bruchetta flavor over noodles.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
This was pretty good - definitely one of those homecooked winter meals, and a nice change from the chicken and rice. I used Provolone on some of the chicken but I'm not sure we could tell the difference.

Tangy Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Have made this a couple of times. I marinate it overnight and add some HorseRadish to the marinade for a little kick. Haven't tried boiling the sauce for dipping but maybe I will given all the positive feedback from others

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
We thought this was pretty good and nice to have something a little different for a change. I followed other suggestions and used a little less wine.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Sorry, we didn't think this was anything special. Made as listed and baked in the oven in a skillet pan. It wasn't bad, just didn't wow us.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
It really needed a little extra flavor so I added about 1/2 jar med. salsa which really helped.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
This was just okay. Didn't like the texture of the onion pieces from the soup mix. We'll stick with our usual

I love this recipe but use only about half of the tomatoes and a little more fresh basil

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
A favorite of everyone and always requested...by my kids mostly...they love the gravy. I usually use only 1 can of the soup and use red wine for half the water. I thicken it up when the roast is done with a little cornstarch. Easy one for working moms (I just stick my roast in frozen in the morning and let it cook all day)

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Very soupy despite draining the tomatoes. Otherwise I pretty much followed the recipe as written and served over rice. Needs some tweeking if I make again. Not really full of flavor, just a bit spicy.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Tasted pretty good, but mine did not carmelize very well, despite even cooking on the stovetop ahead as suggested by others. I used boneless skinless chicken breasts and next time I will cut down the cooking time a bit

A little rich...may want to experiment with the amount of feta, but still very good

Pork Chops with Fresh Tomato, Onion, Garlic, and Feta

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
One of my favorites. I usually use boneless chicken breasts and brown the onion right along with the meat. I then add the balsamic vineager together with the chicken towards the end and add the tomatoes at the last minute, just to heat them through. I serve the feta on the side so everyone can add their own amount on top. Fresh basil is a must

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts III

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
These were a big hit for Christmas Eve. I baked the bacon wrapped water chestnuts longer (everyone prefers crispier)and then placed them on a cookie sheet with sides, covered them with the sauce (halved the sauce based on other suggestions) and then baked again for 10-15minutes. Everyone loved them!

Fried Rice with Cilantro

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
Awesome...great flavor, like others, I couldn't find fish sauce so added extra soy sauce. Doubled the recipe for only 4 of us but I wish I would have tripled it as not too much was left over. I only added 1 and 1/2 the oil (instead of doubling) and even then it did seem a little oily. (used half sesame). Will definitely make again

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
These are excellent, I had the deli slice the prosciutto really thin and used it to wrap 4 spears of aspargus. Not too salty at all. (I also dipped the aspargus in boiling water for 1 minute prior to preparing as others suggested but not sure this was necessary as I prefer with a slight crunch instead of too soft)
