Basic Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I really like this recipe. It's very basic. I added a little cornmeal to the all purpose flour. I like it that way. I perfur to make my pizza crust by putting the yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl, and letting it get foamy looking. I then mix the flour in it, and kneed the dough. I let it rise in a bowl, covered. And then I proceede to make the pizza.

Barbecued Lima Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
My mom, dad, and brother loved this recipe. I must be honest though, it was a little wierd to me because the lima beans were HUGE. I am used to baked beans being really little. I am going to try this recipe again with pink beans. The recipe was pretty sweet. I did add some dihon mustard like some people suggested. I like that the recipe was pretty simple to follow.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
I did not have any nuts on hand, so I just used the shredded cocnut, and white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips. I felt like the bars were a little bland, but the kids and I liked them and ate them. Next time I will add casheews to them. I also took somebody's advice and cooked for only twenty minutes rather than 25. But they were not crunchy enough for me. I envision granola bars being a little crunchy. I will work with this recipe and turn it into my perfect granola bar! Also I lined the pan with parchment paper. Worked great!!

Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
I just made these cookies. I think they taste good. I went off somebody elses review and used 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup white sugar. I also kind of went scant on both cups of sugar, because a lot of people said it was too sweet. For me it was kind of hard to stir the cookie dough, but all in all the cookies turned out pretty good.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
Ok, it is probubly my fault that this recipe did not turn out well. It was way too salty! I also think that maybe I didn't cook the noodles quite long enogh. It seemed like the lasagna became a bit dry. It just wasn't very good.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I made cupcakes with this recipe. I was disapointed because they were very dry. I should have looked at the reviews BEFORE I made the recipe. I think I might try it again with more milk next time.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
I think it tastes great. I love it. I had no problems with consistancy, and I did use the all natural peanut butter. I will say though that my boyfriend did not care for peanut butter flavored frosting.

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
I am giving this recipe a 4 only because it doesnt call for any salt or seasoning in the meat. I put salt and pepper and taco seasoning. I used corn tortillas because that is the only way I eat enchiladas. I liked it that it said to put 1/4 c. of sauce on bottum of pan, but honestly, i wouldn't use packaged sause or canned. I think homemade is the best. For this recipe I used Red Enchillada Sauce, submitted by Sara. My enchilladas smelled so good my neighbor asked what I cooked that smelled so good, and these were a lot of fun to make for me!

My Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
I love it, especially because my boyfriend, daughter, and 3 year old son ate it up so fast! They loved it! I didn't have the amount of stewed tomatos that the recipe called for so I used one can of diced tomatos, and two 8 oz. cans of tomato sauce. It worked for me. I made a half batch of the chili. It all turned out perfectly. My bf didn't even mind the onions!!

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2008
I did really like this recipe. The garlic was really good. I was worried because it looked like the seasonings and garlic were getting really burnt. But it all came together nicely. This was also my first time making a glaze and I was really surprised by how nice it looked and how simple it was to make.

Pralines, Coffee and Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
The only part of this recipe I used was the cake itself.I think 1 cup of coffee liquor was way to much and it tasted strange and kind of nasty. But maybe if I had also used the toppings and frosting it wouldn't have been bad. I used my own frosting. It just tasted strange to me though. (My frosting was good, the cake's flavor was strange)

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
I've never made Buffalo Chicken before. My boyfriend only likes breast meat, so I used chicken breast rather than wings. I used Tabasco sauce, and really liked it. To make the fried chicken though, I did it the way I usually do fried chicken- coat with seasoned flour, then egg-milk mixture, and then back in the flour miwture again. I liked it better that way. I will be making this recipe again. ***I just wanted to update my review. I love the tabasco sauce flavor but it is so hot!! So I decideed to use half bbq sauce and half tabasco sauce. My boyfriend loved it and wanted more the next day, but I realized I had used up all the bbq sauce. So I mixed ketsup and brown sugar and a squirt of mustard. I combined it with the butter nd some garlic powder. I am telling you IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN I EVER MADE!!! I wil make it this way from now on! And my boyfriend could not get enough! ;)

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
I have never cooked asparagus before. It tasted great. I did not have olive oil so I had to use vegetable oil. I also did not have coarse salt so I used table salt, and my asparagus was way too salty. I had one bunch of asparagus so maybe it was not the amount that the recipe actually called for. But all in all it was a tasty recipe.
