About this Cook
I'm just a gal who loves to cook. In the past 5 months I haven't made the same meal twice. I'm seeing how long I can go.
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast - Bicuits and gravy Lunch - Chicken salad Dinner - Meatloaf or Baked Spaghetti
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am Czeck and I love many recipes of that origin, especially Kolaches.
My cooking triumphs
None....yet....other than making my friends and family VERY happy with my cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I was cooking up some fresh plums in butter and brown sugar and instead of adding cinammon, I added cumin. It was a disaster over ice cream....YUCK!

Sausage Jalapeno Poppers
I thought these were great. I used pineapple cream cheese and they flew off the table at the last football party! The combination of sweet, salty and heat went really well together! I didn't use sausage at all.

Runzas II (Bierocks)
I am Czech and we do this a little differently. Our family uses hambuger and german sausage (if you can't find that we use bratwurst and take off the casing). I use seasoning salt, pepper, minced garlic and celery seed. I also use Velveta cheese as it melts the creamiest. My family absolutely LOVES these. Love the idea of using slaw mix!!! What a time saver!

Split Pea Soup
This was phenomenal!!! I added onion, dill weed and cracked black pepper and I also used chicken broth instead of water. I also added some heavy cream at the end! BEST EVER!!!!!
