Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
This recipe is amazing - who knew that you could make bread with only 3 ingredients? and in about 3 minutes?Fantastic! This recipe is extremely adaptable. I've made it twice now, each time adding grated cheese and garlic and onion powder. The second time I added a bunch of dried herbs (rosemary, basil, oregano, thyme) and it was sensational! Next time I might try adding spanish chorizo. I love the crunchy/chewy crust that it forms! I have used both self-raising and plain flour + baking powder and room-temperature and cold beer and each combination worked out fine. GREAT recipe!

Monster Ice Cream Sandwich

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2007
This is devilishly good! The cookie recipe is devine, although VERY geneorous. I cut down the recipe to make enough for 15 serves, yet I still made three giant cookies (so I just made it a triple layered cake instead!). The great thing about this recipe is the adaptability... and it's great fun to eat too!

Chicago Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
This is YUM and addictive, although I have to admit I added at least 3 cloves of garlic and made my own mayonnaise. But this is simple, fast and easy and always, ALWAYS disappears fast!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
This recipe is seriously devine! My family was recently in Hawaii and my Dad had heard about Cinnabon. He tried one and has been raving about them ever since. When I found this recipe I knew I had to try it. In three days I made 2 batches... undoubtedly I'll be making these again. They are YUM! I actually added milk choc chips to half the pastry before rolling up. When they come out of the oven, they are gooey, chocolately, cinnamon heaven! Amazing!

Raspberry Whip

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
This is a fabulous guilt free dessert (even breakfast!) Very simple to make, but make sure the jello is ALMOST set otherwise it will either be too runny or too thick! I also thought the recipe would work well with other fruit combinations e.g. pineapple jello and sliced banana. Will try this next time.

Sun-Dried Tomato Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
this was yum. I used sun-dried tomato pesto as well as some oil-packed tomatoes and it turned out deliciously! I also cut down the mayo and cream cheese as others suggested. Will definitely make again.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2006
These were yum and chewy with a great texture. I used dark chocolate choc chips, but I think milk chocolate would have been better. My boyfriend absolutely devoured these (if I had used milk chocolate I probably would have too!)
