Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
I made these last night and my family was raving all night long. My husband is the pickiest eater ever, but likes ranch dressing so I thought I'd try this. It was a huge hit. My 6 year old ate 2 whole kebabs and my 3 year old ate one whole one all by himself, and he doesn't even like chicken. You aren't going to believe this but I'm making it again tonight and I'm making 3 times the amount and having my parents over. The best thing was I had everything on hand! Thank you so much for this recipe. I know we will be enjoyiing it all summer long!

Curried Cashew, Pear, and Grape Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
The reviews are on target. This salad is really, really good. Three of us ate the entire thing which is supposed to serve eight. The dressing would be delicious on any salad - that recipe alone is worth keeping. This is a winner.

Lime Cilantro Rice

This was a hit with my family and I make it often, especially in the summer. Goes great with all things grilled and so easy to put together. Delish!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2011
I made this exactly as written and it came out beautifully. I brought it to work and got tons of compliments. I chopped my walnuts very small in my mini-cuisinart and that worked out nicely for me since I don't like big chunks of nuts in there, but I didn't want to eliminate them completely. Great recipe, a keeper!

Paella I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
This was my first attempt at Paella. I used mussels, scallops and large shrimp. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. It was a huge hit with my parents, my nine-year old and me! It makes a huge batch and the leftovers were fantastic for lunch the next day. It was much easier than I expected and I will be keeping this one in my recipe box for a long time!

Meatiest Vegetarian Chili From Your Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
I've made this a few times and I think it is the best vegetarian chili I have ever had. I only use about 2 Tbsp. of oil, just enought to saute the veggies, and it comes out just as good. I've made it with Morningstar Farm crumbles instead of tofu, and I like it both ways. This is a staple for me in the winter!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Perfect. Just what guacamole is supposed to taste like. I used a potato masher to combine the ingredients. It was gobbled up at our family get-together, lots of raves!

Baked Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Every year Rosh Hashana is at my house in the fall. It's the Jewish Newy Year so it's traditional to make sweeter dishes for a "sweet" new year. I get requests for this dish every year from my family. It's very easy, could be a weeknight dinner, so I'm happy to make it for the holidays! It always comes out moist and yummy.

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
My family loves these! They have become my "regular" recipe for hamburgers now! They fall apart easily so you have to be careful but we love the moist texture and the flavor.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2007
I made this for my parents when they came over for dinner this past weekend. Everyone loved the shrimp! The hot sauce gives it the perfect kick. I thought it might be too spicy since it seemed like a lot, but it wasn't at all. It might be good with cilantro, too. Anyway, definitely a keeper. It's easy, uses common ingredients and will be a hit!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
The only thing I changed was to use 2 sticks of butter and omit the shortening. These were a huge hit at my son's kindergarten party. I got so much positive feedback! You'd think these people never saw M&M cookies before!! But the texture was perfect. Placing a few M&Ms on top of each cookie and pressing in slightly before baking made a big difference in the appearance. I forgot to do that for the last few cookies and they did not look nearly as pretty as the rest. I just dropped the cookies on the sheet otherwise though, I did not roll them or shape them in any way. Great recipe, will definitely make these again!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Simple and delicious. It's a hit with my son, who is four and does not like "red" sauce. Great on anything: pasta, veggies, fish...he likes to dip things into it. I'm very glad I found this recipe and I've been using it for years!

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
Perfect alternative to super-sweet store-bought frosting. Easy to make, no electric mixer needed, inexpensive and delicious. I used it for cupcakes for my son's fourth birthday. Both the kids and the moms ate it up! I got several compliments on my "homemade" icing :)

Worked out beautifully for my son's birthday party! Easy to make, fun to decorate, and all the kids ate it up! It was preferred to the traditional cake that I had as well.

Chicken and Artichokes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I thought this was a good, simple dinner. I used a can of quartered artichoke hearts. It was good for lunch the next day, too. My kids did not really like it, but I expected that!

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
This was very good. I made it with double the carrots and celery and used only one lb. of Lite Kielbasa. After about 6hrs on low things were not as soft as I wanted them so I turned it to high for 2 more hours at that point. After that, I added a beef boullion because I thought it needed a little extra flavor and that helped. I used 1/2 onion chopped and 2 garlic cloves also. My sausage was not mushy at all and I loved this. It was like a hearty lentil stew. Will definitely make again!

Chocolate Waffles I

Nice fluffy waffles, good texture, not much chocolate flavor though. Made these for New Years Day breakfast! Will probably make again, but will add more cocoa and maybe some mini chocolate chips.

Spring Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
I don't generally like raw broccoli but tried this anyway. It was actually very yummy and got eaten up at the bbq I made it for. The only change I made was using turkey bacon and red wine vinegar (did not have white on hand.) I will definitely make it again!
